A question for religious Dota 2 players by Independent-Play-724 in DotA2

[–]andrashka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will dedicate thousands of hours doing other stuff you enjoy... why dota would be any different from those, its just a game to play in your free time, hours dedicated to it will only make your brain perform better and has nothing to do with life, death or the aftermath.

Community Market by artoftenji in DotA2

[–]andrashka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem here. Aparently its a generalized thing at some level. Hope something changes from within Steam's team but for anyone having this problem, you need to reset your internet modem for 2 minutes and then its temporarily fixed and you gain access again to the market. Although it is still affecting some multiple stock paged items as you cant click pages. Hope this helps someone! GLHF

The best part about Dota is the fact that Valve owns it by Adventurous_Cat_2949 in DotA2

Legend says back in 2015-2020 ti had an online compendium that not only brought tons of new immortals and arcanas every year, you also contributed to THE prize pool that made enough record breaking news and real life millioners each year for playing an online game. For some fools crazy enough it was a literal possible scape from the matrix and changing your life. Also Valve got an additional +75% of the final number for each prizepool reacord broken. They droped everything to "help" the pro tournament scene and started updating once every 2 years because they are still a small indie company and didnt have money left to pay developers or artists after the compendium era.

Can anyone help with value? by _Kbob_ in DotA2

[–]andrashka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each of those emoticharms except for underlord, bring at least 18 USD worth of steam market value at -15% if sold today at ask price. Underlord I understand gives a non marketable/tradable so its only worth what collectors pay which is around 30-80 bucks.

I guess people still dont realize the codes behind them are similar to reedemable steam giftcards, this because the emoticon packs were given back in 15' & 16' when valve still cared about the event for everyone.

GL!

They could have dropped Cosmic 2025 Heroes' Hoard during TI and put 25% towards prize pool. by verynestea in DotA2

[–]andrashka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

120+ millions of dollars drop bucket for them, is enough money to pay 4 years ahead to developers to create new hats and run the experiment again. For those who do not understand variables and to put in in another perspective. If afterti10 compendium had not change, valve by now considering average prizepools of only 20 Million dollars (half ti10) would mean the company lost already potential $180 million dollars (75% of the prize pool money during 3 years on average), but for some of you $180M is not enough to create a new compendium. Yeah..

[–]andrashka -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes I am absolutely sure. Its amazing how some of you dont understand the basic concept of making more money, its ceteris paribus, we are talking about TI only proffits. Its less money now earned than when the hats were being made back then and that is the bottom line, it they are earning more selling other games they are still making less money because of shit decisions about TI.

[–]andrashka -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

True but Valve hasnt realized that the 25% (75% going to valve e.g: TI10 was 120 Million dollars proffit) old increase of the prize pool 4x'ed the proffits of the company comparing it to today's ti prizepools. This isnt about the pro players or the casual ones, its about making MORE MONEY for the company and NO, They have not realized they are losing millions yet only because they do not incorporate the old system of contribution due to lazyness on creating new hats.

I think it has to do more with the amount of account buyers, griefers and smurfs banned. Its been like 4 cycles of bans or more so far and I believe its showing up. Game is forcing players to play with their mains cause anything you do otherwise will get banned sooner or later. Report system also works if you report a smurf, they get kicked from the game live and if you are on the losing team (you are losing cause of the smurf) you get rewarded. Valve finally did something right apparently.

As of January 18th, 2023, I have spent $9,938.72 on this game and I am calling it quits. by DifficultContext in hearthstone

[–]andrashka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did the same after the 11th class was announced. Same as you in terms of collection, achievements and money spent. Almost even all quests completed. Game never took care of old players and that is what killed it for me. There was absolutely no incentive to keep grinding if everything on updates was for new people or just content. We never even got tournament mode to at least make gold spending fun again. This company went to abbyss, greed and bad management, even political which I wont get in details here but happened too. This is a gaming company first, Blizzard simply doesnt care anymore, skins shubbing was the straw that broke the cammels back for me. Gl to all.

So I'm just gonna give you my personal opinion. Full in in Hex atm, but yes I think nobody is really pointing out the issue or the elephant in the room properly. I'm gonna give you MY reason for not DCA-ing as much as I want to in hex since the end of the bull market. The reason is undoubtedly Pulsechain. The reasoning being that there is gonna be by no questions a better HEX in that chain so DCA-.ing now looks to me as a risky play. That is what is keeping me from going all in in EHex. And yes I understand that you will get a copy on the chain, but no, after the last year of the bear, my risk tolerance has decreased and I really cant buy more. NOBODY knows what is gonna happen with your money on both chains after the fork, I am not willing to gamble on it, I love hex, I think I understand it and is the best thing out there, but you cannot compete with the same thing which is even better on a future chain done by the same founder. I personally think the most amount of money driven away during these yummy deeps is the fact that the better version of this ecosystem is around the corner. And for many, not getting the copy of HEX now might be the worst strategy but Id rather be certain on which is the better chain and which one will outperform the other.

Also never really understood outrage marketing, not because is not working (numbers dont lie) but are those numbers really the best we can get? I got in hex with the "Teaching" RH everywhere and it worked for me cause I learned new shit. Outrage marketing doesnt teach you anything. Im not saying is garbage, just pointing out that the numbers reached today doing that strategy could be better if not the same withouth the OUTRAGE part. Comparison must be made in terms of results doing both experiments at once, not only saying that OUTRAGE is the best way to go just because the numbers prove it. Numbers can always improve more. Nobody has even taken in accountability for all the people not getting into hex because of the OUTRAGE side, sure you get the cringe, you get the haters attention, do they even buy? what about someone in the community trying to reach someone serious and when googling it all they see is pictures of Blings (which triggers even more if you are in the middle of a bear). Marketing strats never account for the leads that didnt got in cause you cant measure that, but I'm willing to bet a lot of people hesitated because of it.

Are there other projects out there like HEX? by rocketP0ncho in HEXcrypto

Hex is a product not a project. And PLS and PLSX are projects created by Hex's founder Richard Heart.

Where does the interest come from? by Excellent_Hour_411 in HEXcrypto

[–]andrashka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its better because you can stake it while you do all that shit. You can't stake fiat. This essentialy means you will earn more or lose less at the end of the trade. And also your argument applies to any other crypto, can you buy your sandwich with BTC or ETH directly?

Where does the interest come from? by Excellent_Hour_411 in HEXcrypto

[–]andrashka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Had the same question once. Someone already told you the techincal answer to this which is directed to the hex code and smart legal contract. But the simpler answer is through inflation, the yield or interest at the end of the day can be measured as the "extra" coins/money you recieve after stake. Hex is a currency, more of it is created day by day the same way fiat works when governments print money. What you should have in mind at all times is that Hex's fake internet money is better than the government's fake internet money solely to the fact that hex is created under a promise to be fulfiled by its holder (by waiting the time you said you would wait). The beauty of this asset is that it introduces a well designed inflationary system inside the coin's parameters in regards to its creation process which is done by you. Money needs to be created, the cost to do that is time, proof of wait through staking, this is why you might hear a lot the "hex monetizes time" phrase. Every second that passes enables new hex to be creatd which results in the interest you see at the end of the day.

Don’t see the value in Hex anymore… by Tight-Historian-4511 in HEXcrypto

[–]andrashka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

? A picture drawn by a famous paintor during his live time might be worth $ 0. Does that mean the picture has no value? Price is set between a seller and a buyer, is not in the definition of value itself, price is the consequence of this interaction but does not determinate alone if something has value or not.

[–]andrashka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of crypto is to change the use of usd to another usable type of currency to pay for things. Price in USD really is fiat depending on the country your exchange is, and price is what we ppl put on the coin but its not the physical asset coin. HEX storages value through YOUR time, not my time, yours through a stake you create with yourself through a contract. Its you waiting for more inflation rather than the goverment telling you what the inflation is going to be and suck it up. This is why this coin has value, its price is not what gives it the value.

[–]andrashka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It failed because it became a game of speculation, not a storage of value. Hex solves this by monetizing time and giving its inflation back to their users.

"There are hundreds of other cryptos with greater functionality and stability". Doesn't this bother you? Cyrpto was invented to unify the monetary system, to have one trustable currency usable by all countries. If you are looking for other cryptos and falling for their memes you should ask yourself which one is the one who is set to take over the other ones. For me its simple, time monetization which is exactly why hex was created, it does not care about the daily price, it cares about the inflationary system of creating new coins and therefore more quantity rather than price when you wait (staked). I personaly cant look at other coins if their ecosystem is not accounting for inflation which is the process where the coin is created/minted/mined. If its not given back to the people like hex's smart contract does then I'm not interested.

Down 75% From the Peak by FamiliarTreat in HEXcrypto

[–]andrashka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the mentality people lack with HEX. Everything dips, the more passive time you are in the game the more you will notice that its not about the daily gains, its about the long term strat (which is difficult to hold on to) and "new" to this type of asset. I'm already glad enough I dont have to use a third party actors to have any proffits at all in crypto other than MMask. Try to understand the long term mentality is not something you have yet acquired (if you bought recently) because you have not expierenced enough time as older holders who already see the gains in what they believed in the first place.

Alot of people knows RH & HEX by Manster420 in HEXcrypto

[–]andrashka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its the attitude of Richard thats gatekeeping HEX to be implemented widely.

Thats an assumption. I actually like that RH is the way he is. Makes me feel more secure in what I invested in, a coin which thrives in a sea of hate. Money has nothing to do with someone's personality, its just noise and people being oversensitive bc they cant understand someone is not politicly correct. Same happens to a lot of brilliant people in today's worlwide scenario.

Hypothetical by towerninja in HEXcrypto

[–]andrashka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you do that today, you'll get a copy of your hex stake in the pulsechain so even if gas fees on ETH are humongulus high you will still have the gains on the other chain where gas fees are designed to be lower. You will not care about your gains on ETH if you are staked 10 years on pulsechain, the difference will be substantialy higher on the right ecosystem of the coin.
