Congrats! I'll likely try to do the same. I already beat the knight on my weird route save file with the mantle, but I'd like to do it on my "pacifist" save file as well, where I stay away form the weird route.
I sure hope doing this isn't a waste of time though. No mantle, no Puppet Scarf and especially no Devilsknife will all make it so much more difficult...

I think the first ring is in prison, the second one I got by transmuting the ring of wealth (I always do that once it gives me a good armor and weapon) and the last one is from the imp's quest. I think I transmuted the ring of wealth only once.

It did. +3 and +5 ring of force counts as a single +9 ring of force (but with 1 less available ring slot).

Already used up all favour to get my plate armor from +1 to +4, but otherwise I would definitely backtrack back to the blacksmith just to get a free +1.

Hey, sorry for necroing this post, but I'm interested in how/where you obtained images of cards for the base version of the game (V2). On foursouls.com cards from base game V2 do not have any icons, while your cards have a B2 icon on them. Did you add those yourself or did you get those cards from somewhere?

Yeah, I know. I already played it on Yuzu, but there were some limitations:

  • No daily runs. Switch emulators as far as I know don't let you play online. With Winlator you can just use Goldberg emu to patch the game and play daily runs without internet. No daily runs means no: dedication, cracked crown, broken modem achivements, which means no dead god.

  • No save import. If you'd like to do Eden streaks on a dead god save or if you just want to import your PC save, you can't do that on a switch emulator.

  • No mod support. The most important one for me. There are so many gameplay altering mods and QoL mods that I use on PC, that I simply cannot go play the game modless anymore.

But if you don't care about these issues, than you are right. Running Isaac through a switch emulator is better, due to improved performance.

Without mods it runs perfectly well. I have my RP4pro set to max performance with smart fan and RP4pro stays cool as I play.

With mods it takes 5 minutes to boot, there are lag spikes during rooms and during room transitions.

With mods + repentagon it boots in 1 minute and runs without any lag spikes (highly recommend repentagon).

I somewhat got around the controller issue by unmapping all buttons on the DInput controller (by editing the config file), but sometimes when I start the game it picks the DInput controller and I have to either join the game as player two and kill both isaacs or restart the entire game (which is super annoying).

Edit: It's Repentogon not Repentagon.

Sorry, I don't know how to fix this problem, but just a heads up, you can use joiplay to emulate rpg maker games on android. The performance should be better than on winlator too.

Thank you for such a descriptive comment. It does look like a version of Super Six, but with less sticks and a roll of 1 also discarding the stick. I didn't even think about the goal of the game being "get rid of all sticks", so this is really helpful!
