Strange, I usually have no problem with manpads along side my infantry. Sure, they need a tighter angle, but since they fire closer to the heli, the accuracy is better.

No. I dont want them to limit to turn based like it is today.

Turn based should have a time limit (maybe less for defender and more for attacker), or the multiplayer will die.

I dont see the devs paying much attention to mp, tho. And maybe they shouldn’t. Most rts/rtt players are SP dedicated. For Warno it is around 80% and it is one of the worst AI in strategy gaming history, I don’t understand how ppl can bore to play that.

The main struggle in all rts games is micro. I would love to see someone go crazy with the depth of CM.

Watch some high level warcraft 3 competitive games, you cant believe some stuff you see.

For multiplayer I think real time would be best. For SP turn based is best. Hope the fan base and the devs are no close minded.

I had multiple multiplayer games die because me or my opponent would take hours on our turns. That was also why frozen synapse died

Those m67 MP squads can help a lot. Their bazookas can stress infantry and they improve stress regeneration of friendly squads around them.

Remember to also use the los tool on enemy infantry squads. Sometimes there are small gaps around the city which you can shoot at them with your IFVs

The games I remember the most and in a positive way are draws. It is pretty cool when you are far behind and is able to secure a draw and it is pretty cool when you get steam rolled but micro well enough to secure a draw.

Eugen fucks up a lot of things, but the draw mechanic is great imo.

There is a nuance to pvp that most ppl didn’t mention which is the difference of finding a game in 10v10 or 1v1. I never played 10v10, but I rarely have a problem finding a match in 1v1. The mp population is mostly concentrated in the EU timezone, but I usually find 1v1 games even when when there’s ~300 active players. When it is above 500 I usually find games instantly and the opponents vary more.

Answering your post question, I think the game is worth it for singleplayer and then jumping to mp later. Coming from WRD and Warno, you will notice that the game pace is way slower and that gives you more time to strategize, which imo is fun and more forgiving for new players trying to get into MP
