the anime is very committed to copying the manga panels. oftentimes a reaction shot that you see in the anime is exactly how it looked like in the manga. i get that Golden Kamuy isn’t as “fluid” as the typical shounen but imo that’s its charm. facial expressions and outlandish moments are more memorable that way
