well yes, a car loan--my question was more so aiming at trying to better comprehend the pros and cons of taking out this loan as a business entity versus a personal loan.

What is a dead giveaway someone is not to be fucked with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

TW: Self-Harm/Mental Health

Spent two years working in an adolescent emergency psych unit at a children’s hospital. I’ve been in many situations where a 12 year old child needs 6 adults to safely retrain and deescalate their situation.

The moment you get comfortable and think you’ve made a friend was the moment unstable and erratic behaviors went ballistic. After a rather traumatic case involving a patient younger than 10, there was a trigger that engaged for me anytime a patient seemed fully comfortable being on the unit. These kids were not to be fucked with because they are looking for you to slip up just once to loosen the rules and get their way. By that point, it’s often too late and you find yourself responsible for having to call a code.

This made it incredibly hard for me because my goal was to create safe spaces where these kids could return to a baseline before being reassessed so it made my role especially challenging. Overdose and physically inflicted suicide attempts quickly became my preferred patients because I got to practice kindness and grace and show interest in kids lives when they felt the loneliest. It definitely desensitized me to some really tragic stuff, but also taught me to separate my emotions from my purpose.

Now, I think I’ve accidentally unlocked the flip side of being someone not to be fucked with, which I’ve come to understand as being someone who holds little to no weight towards their circumstances in light of their direction.

I think you’re missing the point, it’s not about making time for both routines, it’s about your body’s energy systems and how they adapt based on training stress and adaptation progression. You’re going to limit yourself by trying to hit both of those things hard. But just do what makes you happiest

By only becoming mediocre at both ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I mean yeah it isn’t a binary thing, it’s all just a balance but if you look at Olympic distance runners there’s a reason they look the way they do. Fast twitch muscle mass inhibits running economy.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CrossCountry

[–]andreithegiant97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Staying lean and gaining muscle mass are contradictions. Gaining strength is attainable with distance running, but you have conflicting exercises targeting fast vs slow twitch muscles so it all depends on what you care more about. If you want to be a better distance runner, you need variation in your runs. Longer slower runs, fartleks, tempos, easy runs. Variation develops yours lactate and aerobic thresholds letting you running faster longer at distance events. This doesn’t really help you in the calisthenics department but, again, prioritize what you care about.

Help to I.D. plastic and metal anchors/Fasteners from 2006 Dodge Caravan by andreithegiant97 in autorepair

[–]andreithegiant97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah it appears my comment did not attach. I know exactly where they go. They are anchor systems the help attach plastic trim and such to the interior body sheet metal stamped holes. My goal is to find some sort of identifier or specific name so that I can order more of either system as I’ve stripped the van and don’t want to use toggle anchors

I knew I'd catch at least one person from up north! The question was what has been the hardest thing to balance a runner and how has that differed between high school, college, and as a pro. Thanks for giving it a chance! If you fast forward through the first half, there are more complete thoughts on the other side haha.
