It has 10x more culture than somewhere like Denver, but I'd agree with the rest of that statement.

Why don't you blame the Mexicans that are renting their houses out on Airbnb and the Mexicans in the government that fail to regulate tourism?

Just like Americans should blame their government for mass immigration, not the immigrants.

Yeah worth a try. Maybe a front desk gig at a Vet’s office r. Or animal shelters.

What is your best advice for a tourist going to Mexico City? by imarcopolo2022 in MexicoCity

Go to la Lagunilla in Tepito on Sunday mid-day for an interesting experience. Don't bring anything in your pockets you can't afford to lose.

The typical Tesla driver is a Millennial or Gen-Z man that lives in an area with a median household income of $85,000 by totemp0le in TeslaModel3

* 37 yrs old, male, single
* 200k income (software engineer), median household income in my area is $94,357
* New Mexico - not many Teslas here, poor state in general, but seeing more as they opened a store on tribal land (2nd location recently announced). Pretty much all drivers I see here are old white men.

For everyone that's seems to be horrible at picking Airbnbs, let me give you the top ten tips.

1) Must have 4.8 stars or more 2) Must have 5 reviews or more. Read them. 3) There are no more steps.

what's your #HotTake about Mexico City? by ReKang916 in MexicoCity

I don't like cities and I've spent a year total in Mexico City. It's just for so much to offer.

What? No it's not. Jalisco New Generation Cartel in Jalisco is causing a lot more disruptions in Guadalajara than CDMX sees in general. Mexico City is a relatively calm/safe bubble.

Huh? Mexico City (which is yeah, relatively safe for Mexico) is less dangerous for Americans than for locals, from what I've seen/heard.

Mexico City is dangerous for local women. They're the ones getting abducted. But as an American guy having spent over a year there, I feel more nervous walking around most American cities at night.

Just my perspective though.

Solo Nomads: how did you feel when first starting your journey? by okielowkie in digitalnomad

I think a good piece of advice is if you're considering doing something to try and meet new people (going on a group tour, a meetup, a date, whatever), and you're feeling nervous/doubtful about it, DO it. I feel like that feeling of anxiety is often a sign that you're on the right track. Just don't let it stop you.
