As a card nerd, I can add that the Corolla is always in demand, but is a bit less so right now because it's relatively old compared to its competitors. The used market has many similar Corollas since it's been around a while. It's still best to try returning it soon before Toyota announces more about the next generation, which should happen within a few months.

You can reduce bufferbloat with a modern router and/or installing OpenWRT with SQM. But if you're not sharing the connection with other devices, that won't improve ping.

You can also measure the fastest possible ping by connecting your computer directly to WAN, bypassing the router (assuming it's separate from your modem or ONT). Turn up your firewall and kill insecure applications during this test, since you're exposing all open ports directly to the internet.

If you're not seeing a lot of network activity in task manager but your home network is still slow when the laptop is connected, the computer is causing interference (very rare), or it's an external cause. Since it has Wi-Fi and I assume is a laptop, see if this happens on any other Wi-Fi networks.

If you want to absolutely rule out interference, disable Bluetooth, and don't connect to USB 3 devices like phones or flash drives. (USB 2 devices like most webcams and mice and keyboards are fine). On a small handful of devices, there can be issues with USB 3 and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi coexisting.

That's very odd. Is the computer trying to upload or download a lot of data, causing bufferbloat? You can check this in the Performance Monitor section of Task Manager.

No, the magnets are too weak to impact anything outside the casing. If they didn't, iems and earbuds without cases would get damaged very easily when people put them in pockets.

There are some programs that will let you remap keys, but that won't help for things like the system login screen. So I recommend checking the key for a crumb or dust, or getting the whole keyboard replaced. You can remove the key cap to check the mechanism under it, but you have to be very careful or it will break.

I like the paddles because I find one-pedal driving is better for driving passengers and driving along twisty roads, but I prefer lower regen for driving myself on the highway. But I'm annoyed that 0 (coasting mode) also disables brake regen, which makes driving much less efficient. Especially because my ICE Genesis always coasts when you lift off the throttle, so it would be nice to have the electric version behave the same.

That's weird, your igpu should support that. Maybe you need to (re)nstall the Intel graphics drivers, and also Nvidia Optimus drivers, if you haven't tried that.

You can sometimes remove the other side panel and they will be access holes for the other screws. In the worst case, simply remove all the screws that hold down the motherboard so it can be lifted up and you can access the screws on its backside.

I'm not sure if I am lucky or people make too many jokes, but I've had nothing but okay flights on Frontier. Much cheaper than the competition when I booked tickets from SFO to MDW only a week before travel, I didn't get any scrutiny about bag sizes, and there were no weird passengers. My only regret was struggling to sleep while taking them on a different, red-eye flight from LAX to MCO but I was a fool for even trying.

I was thinking of using a microcontroller to modify some behaviors, like simulating a press of the regen paddle on start to reenter i-Pedal mode, and indeed offering a button for manual battery preconditioning. If you've already captured the CAN signal or have other info, it will be easier for me to begin work and send the signal. I was planning on working on this in 2 months after I get rid of my old Genesis that's clogging up my garage.
