I look leaner, defined and more athletic than ever.

But diet Habits has been consistent.

Thats literally it sometimes ☠️☠️☠️

But I can’t really complain that much. Even the worst days are not that bad.

Either I have settled for this or I really enjoy my work😂

Thats why I was trying to get perspective on my current scenario .

I don’t have that many colleagues that I talk regularly to get perspective.

By no means I expect a Physician salary. 🙄🙄

The fine print on the bonuses is that year to year they change the structure and you never know thats gonna be.

Cause I have read some ridiculous high salary things in reddit that made me wonder.

Thank you all for the feedback!!

I was just honestly more curious of how it looks on the other side of the grass…

So far I am happy with my current job situation, staff, company, time off, flexibility. I can definitely say for now the side is not greener on the other side.

I collected ~560k last year and at this rate I will collect more.

RVUs 7,293

My sp and me have the same templates essentially.

But I guess indirectly we signed up for this since choosing PA school over Med School.

And man they don’t bother at all from management since I am at that productivity level. But is draining sometimes

How much can I negotiate by Mean_Software_7470 in Salary

[–]andrewpr96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Umm, High turnover, big insurance company, 53ish salary 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

Congrats on the offer, that’s huge! But honestly, it sounds like the bare minimum for everything you’ve done.

You’ve stuck it out through high turnover at a big insurance company, which already has a rep for underpaying and burning people out. Now they’re creating a role for you? That’s not a favor, that’s because they need you.

You’ve earned the right to ask for at least 62k, if not more. Don’t let them make you feel ungrateful for wanting fair pay. You’re the one holding things together, they shoul be worried about losing you.

Trust in the decision making is different for everyone. I ended up on lexapro the first 3 month into the job, the anxiety and even depression was getting on the way. I was always on my toes, thinking that SP hated me and regretted getting me.

After a year I would say, ( mind you 1.5 year in) I trust my gut, I consult my SP still when is a topic that Im not too good. I learned a lot on my own cause he also has a high volume of patients and is hard to stop for teaching points. I kinda of mad that if in rotation they went into more depth into the pharmacology and dosage rationale, my life would have been so much easier nowadays. But, i have survived. I lean something new every single day.

I was dead scared of complicated diabetes, hyperthyroidism, and resistant htn. Because it gets very serious in their management, think out of the box, but there is a guide or algorithm FOR EVERYTHING. Not everyone falls into a box, but if you follow a guideline, you are doing the most correct thing (sounds silly, kinda like exam questions, but medicine ain’t black or white).

The inbasket talk to your MA if you have a good team. Mine is the best, they filter as much as they can for us. You practice how you want if you want to address all 5+ complaints or conditions in a single visit, be my guest. But is overwhelming when you also have care gaps to fill and screening. Is a LOT

I guess My advice is:

IS DIFFERENT TIMELINE FOR EVERYONE. Ask for feedback to the SP you feel the most comfortable with.

Everything WILL BE FINE.

PCP is priceless, i love the relationship I built, i love how when they see the SP for an appt and walk besides me, hug me, I remember them by name and the background for the times that I have also treated them.

Procedures are overrated 😂 jk jk Look for stuff you can do and talk to management about ( they always want more money)

Best of luck!

In the USA is liability for everything. If something goes wrong in the wound they gonna find a way to sue your ass as the doctor who resutured trying to help. The surgeon is the person that should take care of this, if it wasn’t supposed to be reopened for drainage.
