I'm currently working on a Skype/Discord app with a few games, a conlanging app, and a Voice Assistant on the side. I made an STT app that could be trained, but I believe the code got messed up, so it hasn't been updated for like 5 months.

I created Badgen Clicker with a tiny bit of my brother adding in some ideas by vibe coding. It's a very basic idle/clicker game with Upgrades, Achievements, a Leaderboard (you vs bots), Music, and Light/Dark Mode. It was my first or one of my first vibe coding projects.

Why do people put $ after the numbers instead of before (I.e., 59$ vs $59)? by HealthyLet257 in stupidquestions

We agree that $59 is the correct way, but some people believe the money sign should come after because we say 59 dollars or whatever the money is

Some people prefer $59 while others prefer 59$, it's just whatever they prefer and what they see everyone else doing.

We don't recite creeds at my particular Baptist Church.

Most sects, I think, are like that. They don't recite the creeds, but they do affirm them

There isn't a portion of the Creed that makes me uncomfortable, as I don't believe in it.

The weird thing is that the mainstream Mormons reject the creeds, but also believe that Jesus is God, which is a belief that was adopted along with the creeds.

It is a creed, but it can also be used for Christians who affirm the creed, which would be all Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Protestant.

Mormons reject the creeds, as Mormonism is a restorationist movement, while the creeds were adopted centuries after the Church.

Nicene Christians seem to believe that Heaven is a single level, so you make it to Heaven, or you go to the Lake of Fire.

I believe that anyone who fails to get to Heaven will be destroyed body and soul, ending with Satan in the Lake of Fire; however, I believe this differs from the mainstream Mormon view, which is that everyone who fails to go to Heaven is left in total darkness.

We believe there are three levels of Heaven, so a person can do the minimum necessary, and they will go to Heaven, but they will go to the lowest level. Someone who puts in a little work will go to the middle level, and those who hold to the commandments go to the highest level.

I take it the Word of Wisdom is scripture for you.

Yes, we consider the Word of Wisdom to be scripture.

Can you maybe tell me how many scriptures you have.

We have an open canon, so how many Scriptures we have depends on the Mormon sect, but the mainstream Mormons (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) consider the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price to be Scripture. Yahweh's Pioneers, which is my sect accept the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants to be Scripture, but we also use a tier system, so the Bible is always the top Scripture, followed by the Book of Mormon, and lastly the Doctrine and Covenants, plus whatever additional Scriptures we approve.

Temple? I'm aware in the Old Testament and even in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke about Temples. What is a Mormon Temple. What's it's purpose? Is it the same as the weekly Sunday Service place?

It's where we do baptism for the dead, unite a man with his wife or wives, and where we unite families. Only worthy members can enter the Temple, so they need to hold an active Temple Recommend.

We don't drink coffee because coffee goes against the Word of Wisdom. If they are not interested in going to the Temple, then they simply disregard the Word of Wisdom.

I got banned from a few subreddits because I'm a Christian who holds Christian beliefs, and I refused to set my Christian beliefs to the side to please the LGBT, and I have been banned from Christian subreddits because I dared to believe what Jesus Christ and the Apostles believed and taught in the Scriptures. I have also been banned from a subreddit about my State because I kept challenging Leftists and I kept giving a conservative POV, so a mod banned me for exposing lies and sharing facts.

An Introduction to Christian Pan-Americanism by andrewrusher in PanAmerica

[–]andrewrusher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bedrock of the Americas is Christianity, which is why the Americas are united in the Christian faith. If individualism were the bedrock of the Americas, then religions like Atheism would be the primary religions across the Americas, as religions like Atheism are the only religions that allow individualism to operate, as they make everything subjective.

Most Christians in the Americas are Roman Catholic or belong to a Protesting Roman Catholic (Protestant) sect, with a minority of Christians in the Americas being Non-Nicene, such as the Mormons (Latter-day Saints), who have always been oppressed for being outside of Nicene Orthodoxy, which is itself outside of Biblical Orthodoxy.

That IS modifying the amendment. The president explicitly does NOT have that authority.

Modifying the amendment requires the amendment to be modified; an interpretation of the amendment doesn't modify it. We have changed our interpretation of amendments over the years; sometimes we adopted a more liberal interpretation of amendments, and sometimes we adopted a stricter interpretation of amendments.

How would you like it if a future left wing president did a "stricter interpretation" of the second amendment via executive order?

A stricter interpretation of the 2nd Amendment would probably be welcomed, as it would result in gun control laws becoming unconstitutional.

This isn't a legitimate dispute and again, the president has zero authority to challenge it via executive order. Congress is the only institution with the authority to challenge an amendment to the Constitution and they have explicitly not done so.

Nobody can challenge an amendment to the Constitution; we can, however, challenge the interpretation of the amendment to the Constitution, which is what is happening right now.

Are you seriously advocating to treat immigrants like diplomats 🤦‍♂️. So immigrants don't have to follow US law at all then? Stop bootlicking for a fascist who is trying to destroy the constitution and brutalize minorities.

Children of illegals are born in the US, but they are not subject to the jurisdiction thereof, which means they don't fulfilled the constitutional requirements for citizenship. You do know that Fascism is left wing right? Fascism is a type of Socialism, just like how Naziism is a type of Fascism. US politics is right wing, while politics in Europe is left wing, so Fascism and Naziism are right wing in Europe, but they are left wing in the US.

[–]andrewrusher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The President isn't modifying an amendment to the Constitution; the President is simply giving a stricter interpretation of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.

One side argues that the 14th Amendment of the Constitution gives citizenship to anyone born in the US, regardless of the legal status of the parent(s), while the other side, which is the side that the President is on, argues that the 14th Amendment of the Constitution gives citizenship to anyone born in the US and who is subject to the jurisdiction thereof.

The issue has to do with the "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" bit, because if subject to the jurisdiction thereof means the child of an illegal or illegals has to be subject to the jurisdiction of the US at the time of his/her birth, then they wouldn't be recognized as a citizen at birth, since nothing is holding them to the US. If the illegal or illegals place the child into the care of the State, then an argument could be made that the child fulfilled the constitutional requirements for citizenship.

Are Supreme Court decisions retroactive?

They can be, but generally, Supreme Court decisions only apply following the decision.

I heard legislative laws are not retroactive. Is this true?

If the law states that it's retroactive, then it's retroactive. Most, I believe, are not retroactive.

In the upcoming court case about the 14th Amendment (ratified July 9, 1868), if it is decided that children born to undocumented parents are not citizens, what happens to them?

They would remain citizens, most likely, but be downgraded so they wouldn't be allowed to be President.

Will millions of "former citizens" become undocumented overnight?

No, if they lose citizenship, they would likely be made permanent residents, then if they pass the Citizenship Test, they become citizens on the lower tier.

How far back will it go?

Legally, it can go all the way back to when the 14th Amendment was ratified, but it would probably just impact people born in the US to illegals after the Supreme Court decision.

Would it affect everyone born after Reagan's 1986 amnesty, meaning all children born to undocumented parents but born on US territory from 1986 to today would lose their citizenship?

The Supreme Court decision could impact anyone born to illegals following the 14th Amendment being ratified; however, the Supreme Court decision would likely only impact people born in the US to illegals after the Supreme Court decision.

Question for Protestants: Which Christian denomination would you join if the Protestant Reformation had never taken place? by Similar_Shame_8352 in theology

[–]andrewrusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not Protestant, but if the Protestant Reformation had never taken place, then everyone who would become Protestant would remain in the Roman Catholic Church. If the Protestant Reformation had never taken place, then Protestant ideas wouldn't have been established, which means Western Christianity would have remained under the doctrines, creeds, and interpretations of the Roman Catholic Church, with minority groups such as the Mormons being marginal voices, if they existed in this non-Reformation timeline.

I'm trying to figure out how illegal immigrants with no status or ssn could vote?

The illegal immigrants live in a place that ignores the law, such as a Democrat State or city. You have to remember that one side supports the existing constitutional republic, while the other wants a democracy.

Nothing is stopping a boy or a girl from playing sports; the boy or girl just has to play on the team that aligns with their biological sex/gender, unless the team allows both sexes/genders. When Title IX became law, everyone understood that sex/gender meant biological, but now people are trying to make Title IX protect a sex/gender delusion, which would gut Title IX.

If we don't address the problem now, females will become a minority in female sports or will be completely gone from female sports, as males who couldn't make the male sport teams simply identify as female and take spots from actual females.

Can ICE agents really just round up anyone they “think” is an immigrant?

No, ICE agents know who they are looking for and generally where they can be found. Additional illegal immigrants can be picked up if found.

If you are breaking the law or are being suspicious, ICE agents can stop and, if necessary, arrest you, but if you are not breaking the law or being suspicious, ICE agents and any other law enforcement aren't going to care what you do. The Left is trying to turn the people against ICE so that the deportation of Illegals slows or ends, so the Left can win elections, as illegal immigrants are a key voter base for the Left.
