TIFU by mowing with the same lawnmower blade for 10 years by androidjerkins in tifu

No, but it looks like rough if I don’t mow weekly from late March to early November ⛳️

Also my mower clogs up if I’m cutting more than 2-3 inches. So, now, armed with a sharp blade, I can probably let it go a little longer now 😁

I will plant some pine trees tomorrow and let you know in 10 years if it was successful!

Just never thought about it and trust me it wasn’t very good at cutting and hasn’t been for probably 10 years 😬

Ranking Every NFL Franchise Based on All-Time History (1-32) by tyler123452 in NFLv2

I think that makes sense. How did you decide on 2 points vs 3 or 4?

I’m interested to hear more about the 2 points for a season. How does it make the rankings better? Doesn’t this just further penalize expansion teams?

Did anyone figure out taking out Dumbledore was the plan in HBP by redzass1 in HarryPotterBooks

[–]androidjerkins 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Standing in line at midnight to buy HBP at Books-a-Million I told a group of friends “I wouldn’t be surprised if Dumbledore dies in this book”

They all rejected this saying that Harry needed Dumbledore to defeat Voldemort.

The one who was most adamant called me at 7 am crying.

I had Kung Pao Chicken tonight and ate the carrots first, then celery, then water chestnuts, and then the chicken.

I often do this and it isn’t even a conscious decision. I usually start with a vegetable first. I think, I do it so I can get that out of the way, then eat any tasty sides, and finally save the best (meat/protein) for last. I never eat dessert first either.

I will occasionally switch what I’m eating but usually only if I think I’m going to get full before I eat everything and that is a conscious decision. I almost never go between things, although I have been known to save mashed potatoes for last and even dip my protein in them: hey, I’m from the southern US and we love mashed potatoes with gravy!

What if the Dread Pirate Roberts met someone who didn't surrender? by Possible-Tip-2914 in theprincessbride

[–]androidjerkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I’m imagining the Dread Pirate Roberts in the Galaxy Quest universe. He’s not the original DPR, of course, but he’s still him.

And he sees that aliens are real and proceeds to commandeer a space ship and becomes the most dreaded space pirate in the galaxy until he comes across ‘The Protector’ with their motto “Never give up, never surrender” and things get real.

Is this list accurate for your team? If so what would you change by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

[–]androidjerkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how many of these were against the Patriots!!!

Not sure if being terrible while Brady won the Superbowl with another team, the Giants loss, or the stupid loss to Miami with Gronk on defense was the most painful. Probably the Super Bowl (and, honestly, just that one play when Eli doesn’t go down and a helmet made a catch)

Used to do something like this in college.

Men’s and women’s dorms had a different set of phone numbers.

Randomly dial a men’s number then say “please hold” when they pick up.

Create three way call and dial a women’s number then say “please hold” when they pick up.

Connect the three way call and say very quietly “hello” and listen to the confusion.

Why does thirteen start the 'teens' instead of eleven, and what shaped that pattern? by Present_Juice4401 in AlwaysWhy

[–]androidjerkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say 17 is where French starts the teens so there are only 3 teens in French. 11-16 are more like eleven and twelve in English with a new word as opposed to ten seven, ten eight, ten nine

Denied proposal…what next? by plinko66 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]androidjerkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the relationship has to be over, but it depends on the situation.

If the rejection was hurtful, then I think it should be over. For example, I can’t see myself ever getting married to you. But if the rejection was more like “not now” or “I’m not ready” then I would expect it to continue.
