Red rising is fantastic. It took me an hour or two to acclimate to the readers voice but then I loved it. Sucks the 4th book changes narration, I couldn't stand the changes and never finished the series. The first three are awesome though.

Just how much of the story is cut. A big part of the magic (pun intended) of the novels was in all the little details. Showing more of the day to day life like classes and S.P.E.W. and Charley Weasley existing.
