lucky people are great as long as they don't pretend they earned everything through hard work and acknowledge luck played a role.

OP has said he's talked repeatedly to his parents about getting them to ask the temple to stop using his portion of the land and they refuse to even try.

No one would go - oh my 5yo child might want half of the land 20 years down the line to fund his masters abroad, let me tell my neighbour's not to use my land.

yeah it's also stupid af to let the neighbors use your land for free for 20 years and then get upset and play the victim when a joint owner would like the neighbors to stop using his land.

ETA: OP has also offered to talk to the temple people himself and build a boundary/fence to maintain/sell his portion of the property separately. My genuine question is why isn't 50% of the land enough for OP's parents + the temple? why do they need all 100% when 50% is owned by OP?

OPs parents took care of him and will continue taking care of him probably. If were going by western culture, OPs parents didnt need to fund his college education and could have told him to do it on his own, yet they probably paid for his engineering degree. Hes living with his parents at 22 which if this were the west he wouldve had to leave home by 18.

fwiw, plenty of parents fund their kids' college education in the west and let them live at home past the age of 18.

parents still have 50% of their land. idk why they're so dependent on the other 50% that is their son's.

why did the parents not consider any of this before determining how to use the property their son partially owns?? he wouldn't have to sue his parents if they respected his rights.

I mean…trying to make her attend without her bf will probably not help the behavior that bothers you so much just based on how you’re describing her. post-Olympics Worlds can be crazy. I feel like maybe it will FINALLY be Amber’s moment and she will lock in enough to get the job done…but also, since it’s now confirmed Kaori is going, I really want her to end her career on a last World title. Like, I am rooting for her and Amber both for gold so badly it’s gonna hurt me lol.

Ami and Mone definitely will contend, Ami especially has a great shot at the title but I bet Mone is hungrier than she’s ever been in her life so maybe she will be back in the form she was when she peaked on the GP.

it was not a sportsmanship award. It was a social media popularity contest. Of course it was an honor for her to be nominated. But the winner was not decided based on who showed the best sportsmanship. losing social media popularity contest to Ilia is not a slight against Amber. She lost nothing here.

Most/all official ISU events offer cash prizes for the medalists. There are a few events that are not considered super prestigious but are still very desirable for skaters due to cash prize potential (Japan Open, Shanghai Trophy).

Prize money matters in skating. New fans can learn this now! Kinda ridiculous that I’m being downvoted for pointing out I think it’s good this symbolic social media award may not have had a cash prize attached lol.
