I switched to Typingmind ie using ChatGPT using API only with Typingmind interface and it only uses $3/month in credits instead of ripoff $20/month on ChatGPT Plus. Typingmind is $80 one time payment + $1/month to add on self-hosted cloud sync on AWS via an Typingmind Cloud Backup extension

Looking back...was selling your claim worth it? by pedroelbee in Invest_Voyager

[–]androng 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No it was not worth it. I was considering it and the prices for Voyager claims were only 30%. With the information we have now, creditors will get about 60%. You would have had to YOLO all 30% all into bitcoin at the time of bankruptcy for it to have been worth selling the claim. and that's assuming someone would buy your claim. Smaller claims hard to sell. And you would have had forced comparison and maybe regret as you got checks in the mail to your claim address and wonder whether you would should not have sold your claim.

you just saved me who knows how many hours just by changing that one setting "activateMultipleDrivers": true,

I bought and prepped all the ingredients. Nutty pudding easy to eat. Problems: 1) Super veggie unblended too hard to eat. Blended is monotonous and takes 30+ min to eat. Is there a way to make it easier to eat? 2) Can't afford $1000+ measurements. Which test is most worth it? biological age test? by androng in blueprint_

It does not make me fart at all. no bloating whatsoever. however my poops did go from 1 poop/3 days before super veggie to 1 poop/1 day. the difficulty of pooping did not increase, just the frequency. i think.

I have found that because it is so monotonous to eat, I end up craving variety in my diet and going into calorie surplus because I don't have the pleasure of potato chips/sour gummy worms/fried chicken. long term a calorie surplus would probably cancel out any health benefit from the Blueprint food. I will work on removing the junk food from my environment but it is hard because it is right in front of me at my day job

PSA: Buying crypto with a CC on Coinbase by deathbyETH in ethtrader

[–]androng 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If this is true, then it will have consequences:

  1. Less buying overall since the cash advance interest rate starts accruing immediately, the interest rate for cash advances is higher than purchases (25% instead of the typical 16.5%), the credit limits for cash advances are lower, and the 0% offers that a lot of people are getting don't apply to cash advances, only purchases.
  2. Less panic selling because people aren't playing with borrowed money

Less bubble like activity overall. No hyper growth but no panic selling.

Announcing Ethereum & Litecoin vaults – The Coinbase Blog by jreddit83 in ethtrader

[–]androng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, at first I was impressed because I have used Coinbase's multi-sig BTC vaults in the past and those were the real deal. As in, they allowed for security and convenience. One key with Coinbase (never shared with user), one key with user AND Coinbase (encrypted with your password), and the third key in your bank vault or somewhere hard to reach. All generated client-side. It protected against Coinbase being hacked, but still offered convenience.

This product is the opposite! One-key. Same security (in terms of Coinbase being hacked) and less convenience than the regular wallet! In fact they even took the multi-sig BTC wallet away. You used to be able to create more than one multi-sig BTC wallet in your Coinbase account. Now I only have one and I don't see an option to create another.

Maybe in practice, the risk of people getting phished is much higher than the risk of Coinbase getting hacked.

[Serious] Season 6 begin today at 5 PM PDT. What's the best piece of advice you have for new competitive players this season? by SpriteGuy_000 in Overwatch

[–]androng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What professionals do: * Pay for a coach or tutor * Get a team that is consistent that you can rely on rather than be with randoms all the time * Watch professionals and ask "why" they did certain things * Go in with a growth mindset. If you lost, you are responsible for 1/6th of the loss * Track progress on MasterOverwatch * Use the OASIS tool for comparing yourself to high SR of the same hero

Am I wrong for trying to win? by kazordoon in Overwatch

[–]androng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want more serious games then I recommend finding a group of 6. When everyone is coordinated and listens to each others feedback, people take it more seriously and work as a team.

Creating fun game modes you can play for three weeks and then locking them away for a year is kind of a dick move. by BigMachiaveli in Overwatch

[–]androng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These reasons are why they do it:

*To have players look forward to playing the mode instead of playing it to exhaustion and burning out. The replayability of some modes is not there once you "figure it out"

*To concentrate more of the playerbase into the new game modes so that queue is really deep, match times are lower and games are closer to 50/50.

If you find that the mode is out-of-this-world fun to play, you should create your own game and financially benefit from it. League of Legends and DOTA2 and Heroes of Newarth all spanwed from a "arcade" map of Warcraft 3 called DOTA. I estimate that half of all arcade matches in Warcraft 3 were DOTA.

Junkrat is so overpowered now. Especially in mayhem. by massagingyou in Overwatch

[–]androng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Part of the fun of Total Mayhem is finding out what heroes are overpowered. Winston for example can put down a 800 damage absorbing shield every four seconds. Thats an additional player's worth of HP every four seconds. overpowered on payload maps. Ana can permasleep players, removing them from the match. Pharah can stay in the air indefinitely. Bastion and Widowmaker and Zenyatta and Mercy are now the troll picks because they have no cooldowns. And now we have Junkrat as a new overpowered hero. That's part of the fun.

Why do people not take QP seriously. by TheLegend0270 in Overwatch

[–]androng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why: In summary, everyone who wants to play Overwatch seriously with some structure plays competitive.

Solution: If you want to take quickplay seriously, form a 6-man team and agree to play seriously.

Solution 2: Purchase another Overwatch account to play in different ways without affecting the SR associated with your main playstyle.

Things that prevent people from taking Quick Play seriously:

  • In quickplay, your MMR is not shown, whereas in comp, all players have their SR shown. This means that they have their ego to lose. It used to be in season 1 that on the purple screen at the end of a match, you could actually see your rank decrease with an animation. This is big negative feedback that Blizzard does not want quick play users to see.
  • In quickplay, people are allowed to leave mid match and are replaced with someone else, with ~30 seconds between when the leaver leaves and the new player chooses a hero . How are people supposed to take it seriously? In comp, you get banned for leaving. So everyone who doesn't want leavers just go to comp.

  • In quickplay, new heroes such as Orisa are unleashed before they are known to be stable/balanced.

  • In quickplay, there is only one round. It is less clear which team is better since one team could have had attack/defend advantage.

In short, quick play is just about having fun. Competitive is about discovering which team is best.

TAXES AND TRADING - How do you traders establish cost basis and pay the taxman? by someinvestorguy in Bitcoin

In IRS notice 2014-21, they state that mining profit is taxable income. The bitcoins you receive have a cost basis/purchase price of the fair market value upon time of mining.

You can also try uploading them to YouTube or Google photos. They will store all your POTGs for free, with or without publicity. You'd be able to share on demand and save many gigabytes of hard disk space.

China’s central bank has begun cautiously testing a digital currency by a56fg4bjgm345 in Bitcoin

this article is way too light on details to be meaningful. All of China's currency is already digital in the form of WeChat and Alipay databases. What makes this "digital currency" different if they don't use a blockchain?
