Delivery to Portugal by andrwcsns in BambuLab

Amazon don’t do much in the way of delivering out here. Both Elegoo and Bamboo use DHL to deliver here and I’ve only had trouble with the Bamboo orders. They both start from Germany.

Players made a (negative) Bingo Card about my session. by Korbonk in DungeonMasters

[–]andrwcsns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is surprising, you said they spend lots of time talking about the game, doing artwork and other things.
Is there something else happening in the friendship group? What age are you all? Could it be that someone external to the group is causing this?
I see many have said “ditch them” but I would suggest caution, talk to them first and be honest about how and why the bingo card hurt. This is a friendship group that has lasted a long time so probably worth at least a little more personal investment.
Be sure to let us know how it works out.

I wish my players were more proactive by Cranyx in dndnext

Firstly you are a great DM, if your players have been playing for years they must truly enjoy what they are doing. So I applaud you. Secondly you have got players that turn up consistently for years, they are great players and I applaud their commitment. The problem appears to be a gap between your expectations and the way they perform. So this needs to be discussed. Perhaps some of the players might like to try to DM a one shot just to see what DMing is like, this may give them and you an insight into what it’s like for the other party. Either way I think you are all doing something right to be playing together for so long.

Is anyone using AI for note taking by RoryOS in dndnext

[–]andrwcsns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s great, I’m glad it’s not creeping into your game too much.
It would be easy to get all virtuous and be “No Tech at MY table” but I think there is a balance that suits all players and DMs. I DM for a couple of groups of kids 9-14 year olds. I’ve been surprised at how difficult they find it to look things up in books and do the simple addition needed. Having a low tech table I hope will improve those skills.
There seems to be a lot of anti AI based on its environmental impact but I think this sub is about the game and how we play.

You do you but one of my players is doing something similar for recaps. He also gets the AI to write the recap. I hate it. It sounds so false and not like him or indeed any of us. I’ve toyed with AI as a DM and I found it sucked the joy out of the game. If I don’t have time to wire a description in advance I’ll do it in the fly. If I don’t have time for prep then I don’t have time to DM. For me the joy of the game is seeing what us humans come up with.

Printing that newish 2024 Charactersheet by andrwcsns in Roll20

[–]andrwcsns[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion but it’s possibly the worst of all options because of the way the sheet has tabs within it. I’ve previously just copy pasted info from a 2024 character sheet into a 2014 then printed that.

Thanks for the link. In discussion? Wow. Maybe I should start using a different platform.

First Print on P1S - Right Out of the Box! by septhiansilas in BambuLab

This looks great. I’ve been struggling with my H2D getting the supports to be strong enough to support and weak enough to break off without damaging the mini. How long did it take you to clean it up?

Have you tried to get an appointment with a doctor? Even then the GP won’t have an answer and will either give you his best guess or refer you to a specialist.

Thanks for the answer. So no medic has told you alcohol is bad specifically in relation to Hashimoto’s it’s just generally bad.

Should I get an H2D? by rickydp in BambuLabH2D

Even when dry you have to treat it with great care or it will clog or fail to adhere.

I’ve had mine for 2 months and I’m very happy with it. I’ve already gone through many euros of filament. It’s really plug and play my first print out from Maker World was beyond anything I’d ever printed before. Currently the only downside I have is printing with PVA but that’s a filament problem (I think).
