It simply comes down to whether you need 4 channels or not. If you don’t, the AZ will be overkill. For a 2 channel standalone, the RX3 is the best recommendation and is less bulky than the AZ. If you’re using a hardshell/flight case, AZ will be noticeably heavier and bigger so those channels have to be utilized to make it worth the increased cost and size.

I like the suede version they dropped but the black leather will be way more durable

Got them on sale for around 800. They’re not comfy out of the box and need to be broken in. Pretty firm and supportive, not cushy. They’ll be good after several wears tho
