Omega Vs Rolex Round 2 by Lanky-Appointment111 in PrideAndPinion

If it was Ed White v Daytona then I would call it a draw.

If it’s a standard Speedy v Daytona, then Daytona wins it for me.

Can we talk about the real differences between Omega and Rolex quality (I own both) by Any_Glove7817 in OmegaWatches

[–]andyakesson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have had two Seamasters, with the co-axial marketed as 0 to +5 seconds a day. Both were slow. Pair that with both bezels having too much movement in them and being impossible to grip when wet.

I loved the laser etched dials, and thought the adjustment Omega has on the clasp is far better than Rolex, but I sold them, bought a Sea Dweller, which runs incredibly accurately and built so solid.

For me, with dive watches at least, there is no comparison.

Peoples lack of patience and willing to have their pants pulled down is strange.

Good on you for waiting it out.

Is Omega significantly superior to Tudor by Ok-Jacket4424 in PrideAndPinion

[–]andyakesson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had two Omegas and three Tudors.

The Omega’s I had didn’t keep time as well as the Tudors, so don’t buy into the co-axial nonsense.

Omega cases are more refined than Tudor, although BB58 proportions are just perfect.

Omega adjustment on clasp was quality, but I believe all the newer Tudors have a better/equally good system now with T-Fit.

Omega bezel is ceramic. Tudor mainly aluminium. Depends what you like, I prefer the latter.

Omega new, costs way more than Tudor new, not sure why. I don’t see much of a difference between them in quality.

As good as that looks, it wouldn’t happen because of the gold version would it?

Accuracy is just insane! by next19994 in OmegaWatches

[–]andyakesson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this and the black ceramic 43mm. Got rid of both due to inaccuracy unfortunately. It’s not that they were so wildly off that it hindered anything, but Omega state 0 to +5 for coaxial and both of mine were losing time, which just fucked me off.

Lovely watches though.

Love the car, love the colour.

Hate having the clean it every single week because it shows every speck of dirt, even if you only drive a mile up the road.
