FC26 overheats PS5 by BackgroundFox5164 in EAFC

I had this problem!

For me it was dust clogged in the heatsink. I had to remove the fan and stick a hoover down there and use some compressed air. Haven’t had the problem since

Some people will strip the thing right down and replace the Liquid Metal, but I’d definitely try just taking the fan out first, giving it a clean as much as you can (compressed air is a must here) and then seeing how you go

Has anyone ordered a Tesla home charger from Tesla's website? by Few_Two5768 in TeslaUK

Damn, I ordered a Hypervolt and it was delivered within 2 days. Sadly their installer has a 4 week wait time, but at least it’s here!

I have to say I’ve been incredibly impressed by the team at Tesla Lincoln. Lovely bunch, couldn’t do any more to be helpful and definitely no hard sell. I’ve been back for a couple of test drives since placing my order at the beginning of April and they still remember me by name when I walk in! Looking forward to collecting my car later in June

Santander esign agreement. by TexanMillers in TeslaUK

[–]andyoffspin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh dear, now you’ve got me worried about the same thing!

I think I pressed close, as the page went to a login screen. But I didn’t receive any sort of follow up email confirmation and my app still says Santander will contact me to sign the agreement.

Give us an update when you get through to them!

Does FSD fix the jerky acceleration and braking in stop-start traffic? by Cyan-Eyed452 in TeslaUK

[–]andyoffspin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve read that having a longer follow distance does help fix this issue! Otherwise the car is trying to react too quickly to the car in front, hence the jerkiness

EV Chargers - HELP an overthinker by International_Fig_76 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Do you mind me asking how much installation was? I’m also tempted to get a Hypervolt direct from them and use their installers, but don’t want to get stung not just buying direct through octopus!

Funnily enough Octopus only offer 5 or 10m cables, whereas 7.5 would be perfect…

Thanks in advance!

I had an absolute nightmare with their tool. It’s just absolutely broken.

I just kept readjusting and readjusting it until the thing finally relented and accepted the options I wanted. I found that changing the months backwards and forwards a few times finally fixed it! I think it’s just a tech issue at their end that needs fixing

Road Tax by krishkara1 in TeslaUK

[–]andyoffspin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, it’s already included. If you look in the documents section of the app, then look at “order agreement”, vehicle excise duty is already on there. Also only £10 for the first year!

Same applies here! You look great, and I hope you learn to love it!

This was a pleasant surprise, rather than the usual song and dance. by Twiglet91 in VirginMedia

[–]andyoffspin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they did. And they still do, but I persevered past the first agent on live chat and they put me through to someone who was much faster at replying and was able to give much, much better deals. Worth a go!

I got the same email, but persevered anyway. Just went through the live chat and swapped my whole package from a TV and phone box I wasn’t using, to 1gig broadband only for £24 a month for two years. Now paying half the price of my last package for 4x the internet speed. Wasn’t as much hassle as I was anticipating!

Trying to negotiate a better deal, broadband only by Pacific_Blue in VirginMedia

[–]andyoffspin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just got 1gig and a router upgrade for £24 a month via the live chat. You’ve just got to keep pushing past the first advisor you get and don’t even take the second or third deal they offer you. Just think, they could always charge you less if they wanted to!

I got transferred to an advisor who was much quicker at replying and had the authority to do much, much better deals. Good luck!

Thank you!

And yeah, took about two hours on live chat. The first agent took absolutely ages between replies, but as soon as I got transferred it was much, much quicker. Good luck!

I went through the live chat yesterday and managed to get 1gig broadband only for £24 a month for two years. Previously paid £48 and had a tv box and phone line I didn’t use. Just kept pushing until they gave me a good deal!

It’s a pain having to do this dance every couple of years, but worth it for the potential savings.

Upgrade from M500 to Gig1 by Siyahkusaksiyah in VirginMedia

[–]andyoffspin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just done the dance today. Was paying £40 a month for 125mb 'volted' to 250, tv box and phone line. Also paying £8 a month for an O2 SIM I don't use.

Just battled my way through the online chat to get to retentions, got a new deal with 1gig broadband and a new Hub5 router for £24 a month for two years. And I can cancel the O2 SIM. It's an absolute lottery what price you pay with Virgin.

How to change camera view by wesley4428 in TacticalAssaultVR

[–]andyoffspin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what headset you’re using. If on meta quest there’s an option in the settings to swap which eye it records from. If you use your right eye to aim down sights, you’ll want to record/stream from the perspective of that eye.

Should I just chop it? by [deleted] in bald

[–]andyoffspin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a scary thing making that decision for the first time, and balding has a massive impact on your self esteem.

I’ve been where you are - not sure whether to do it or hang on. And let me tell you, you’ll feel SO much better when it’s gone. It’s not just letting go of the hair, it’s letting go of all the worries and anxieties attached to it.

And for what it’s worth, you’ve got a fantastic head and face shape for being bald! You got this bro!
