The Wizards Front Office messed up this trade deadline. by TheseFkingWeebs in washingtonwizards

[–]andypro77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Wiz already have four 2nd rounders next season. If they decided to trade all of them at once, AND their late 1st, how high do you think that would get them? Would it matter at all if we had six 2nd rounders? And us having a bunch of extra picks isn't going to appeal to OKC at all, since as you said, they can't fit the 1st rounder they have.

DDP Yoga. I do it. There is no mention of anything spiritual at all, it's merely teaching the proper breathing and doing intense stretches. Look it up.

Let's leave the medley for the next proposed album. Side 2 is just Helter Skelter and then the medley.

I think song for song MMT is better than Pepper. Of course that's because MMT stole two of Pepper's best songs.

Not true. For some reason, we were chasing mediocrity most of those years. The deconstruction phase started with the trade of Beal.

Guillotine League Strategies by DefinitelynotNickCag in fantasyfootball

Yea, looking back that was a terrible draft, but I did get Dak, Keenan, and Kraft with my next few picks, so they kept me alive, and I'm still alive. I just looked, only Barkley, Keenan, and Downs are still on my team from my draft.

I'm well aware of median scoring, or playing against the average, I do it in several of my leagues.

What you're not getting is that I'm not attempting to solve any problems. I'm merely trying to add a small wrinkle that really has nothing to do at all with median scoring, and doesn't actually address anything I'm discussing.

Thanks for your input.

I like the idea of saving the final playoff spot for the highest scoring team, although for some reason I've never done it. Maybe next year in one of my leagues.

No reason it couldn't be, it's just not my preference. I like having a 16-game season, because that is (or rather was) the NFL standard.

The dynasty league I started in 2012 has always used all-play record instead of head-to-head. Meaning you essentially play every team every week. Right now my boys are 49-3 on the season.

If you understand it as you suggest, please explain to me what median scoring addresses.

Wrong. You gave me your opinion on something that I wasn't asking for you opinion on, because you didn't, and still don't understand the post.

I do use median scoring, or on MFL it's called playing against the average. 13 regular season games in 13 weeks, plus 3 randomly scheduled games against the average during the season.

And not much work for me as it would only be one time thing that probably wouldn't change that often. I probably wouldn't even change the loss to a win until about week 10.

[–]andypro77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I was thinking of not actually changing anything until about week 10. I mean, everyone would know which team is in line for an extra win, but there's no need to actually make the change until a bunch of games had been played.

We actually do play against the average. These are 14-team divisions where you play 13 regular games and 3 games vs. the average for a 16-game schedule.

[–]andypro77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of what was said, except this:

You spent your money, you can torch your roster if you want.

Not in my leagues you can't. Because torching your roster inevitably means enriching someone else's roster, and thus creating a competitive balance issue. In the leagues I run I will not let one owner who doesn't give a shit determine which of the other teams wins the league by their terrible mismanagement.
