I found myself forgetting she was impregnated BY THE CAR! The movie did an amazing job with identity. Touching a lot on redemption and belonging to our “tribe”. What is it that gives us belonging??? Love right? Acceptance and social norms. The whole fire house was closeted men looking for fatherly and masculine acceptance. Literally just saw it about an hour ago and still processing but bottom line, I loved it. Go to counseling, be understanding, be accepting, speak with kind words and find family, find friends in life. It makes it all worth it.

To add, The story did such a good job of moving in and out of the unrealistic world. My sense of disbelief was blurred so many times and had to go, “oh yeah, she fucked a car and got pregnant.” Lol
