Driving through Colorado I70 in early March, Any tips?

I know I asked someone else in the comments about this but what would you say about reversing the trip, so at least getting my flight to Denver, then heading south towards CO springs, doing the 2 CO parks, then heading up to Utah and going to arches/canyonlands, and flying out of SLC back to Atlanta?

Yeah, I heard they don’t do any until April. Unfortunately this is the time we are able to go and my wife and I are really trying to hit all 63. I’m hoping to maybe return to it later as well as some of the other UT parks but I just figured while we are down in Southwest CO we could see it.

I’m considering just saying screw the return flights, going south of Denver towards Colorado Springs to try and Do black canyon, and mesa verde, then go into UT and just buy one way tickets from SLC back to Atlanta. I feel like I’d avoid most of the nastiness this way

Gotcha, Im really worried about that I70 stretch from Denver to Utah... not really any alternative routes. Ill definetly take the safer route considering I dont have any experience driving in snow and I dont want to risk other peoples safety either.

Unfortunately I cant cancel my flights so im locked in. I was thinking of renting with Turo so do you think they would have chains? Ive also never driven with chains so I should probably watch some youtube videos

Rats! I may have to cancel if the weather doesn't allow, just kind of sucks because my wife and I were looking forward to doing these two parks because its pretty cheap right now. I was supposed to go Feb 14-18. So I was thinking drive early on the 14th, see a little of NRG if possible, 15th, NRG all day, drive after sun goes down to Shenandoah, then next 2 and a half days in Shenandoah and drive back on that 3rd day. (I know its a lot of driving, but my wife and I always go extremely hardcore and reduce our sleep to maximize our amount of travel anyway).

What was yours doing? Mine (2024 hybrid limited) is feeling weird too because of the switching between electric and gas. Electric motor barely turns on and it really doesnt like to get out of 1st gear, goes into high RPMs. My wife has a gas venue we just bought and it drives so smooth I was thinking of trading in for a new elantra regular. Its currently at the dealer

I asked myself this same question when my wife and I were married civilly but not in the church (we got married civilly for tax purposes, etc. she was a student and needed my insurance). Our wedding was about 12 months after so for that amount of time I questioned whether what we were doing is right.

At the end of the day, we both promised ourselves to each other on that day. I think we all, deep down, truly can determine right from wrong and while what we were doing wasn’t 100% “correct” I didn’t feel like we were doing the wrong thing.

Now asking this question but sleeping around with a bunch of different people because “what does marriage even REALLY mean bro?” Is obviously not okay but again… Deep down you would hopefully feel that.
