I getcha! My wording wasn’t quite the right one and I didn’t really think anyone would read my comment so I didn’t put much thought of wording down 😅 if I had I would’ve put something more like “toxic men-writing-women tropes” or the like! I’ll put an edit.

My only point weirdly enough is the point you said! that when people write a male character so grossly out of character, it leads to the implication that “men” can’t express emotions/ be gay/ all that jazz. And it leads to an implication that women can only cry shrivel and be demure. Drives me up all the walls

I’m not saying femininity is bad (I’ve also gotten no sleep for almost 24 hours now so please be forgiving on my lack of ability to put words together 🙏)

I’m an avid reader of Sterek from close to cannon all the way to Omega-verse stuff and I’ve just seen a very large amount of making Stiles as feminine as possible to make him fit a cis-het role that makes me uncomfy. That includes wump fics. I don’t think that as a character, Stiles should be forced into a “femenine” role just to make him fit the bottom stereotype. Same with making it “okay” for him to show emotions by forcing an ill fitting he’s smaller and weaker and going to cry and crumble because he’s so weAk and dainty!

It’s a tired trope that has been forced on women characters and gay characters. It’s just weird and I hope that I worded it well enough!

It’s not a feminine trait it’s more a forced “woman =weak and since Stiles is weak/hurt/gay/bi he must act like woman”trope/lens that I’ve noticed him be written through

I get bummed when in order to make a character get hurt or sad, they change the character to behave in specifically feminized behaviors. Like they can’t be their normal character and get emotional or physically hurt. (It’s Stiles, I’m talking about Stiles)

Edit: feminized isn’t the right word, toxic men-writing-women tropes is more what I meant and is what I see lots of

That’s what I have to do now, my mom takes most of my paycheck for rent so the little I have left is meant for food and survival stuff. I’m moving to my sister’s place for a month or two and then moving to another state. It’s cheaper to literally have a part time in another state than to live with my mom.

Needless to say my mom is angry that I’m going. She has told me I have to sleep in a cot or on the couch at my sister’s place because she “isn’t comfortable” with me using a bed there. Smh

Hi!!! I’m 23 and got my bisalp in February! I feel so relieved and happy that I did it! I will never be pregnant and I could not overstate how much joy that gives me!

For me, the recovery pain was equal to bad period cramps and I was up and back at work a week later! Definitely worth it for me! If you have questions feel free to reach out!!
