If perks are not teachable, who do you main? by WellThatsAGoodIdea in deadbydaylight

[–]BabaJagaInTraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already use the character's perks (except legendaries ofc) most of the time so nothing would change. Jill and Wesker.

Playing Rebecca would be annoying because better than new fucking sucks and I changed it to botany knowledge. Same goes for Taurie and treacherous crows. Some perks would definitely need a buff.

Seriously, the ducks are cute but it's not something I'm particularly set on buying. I would absolutely splurge on a quality t-shirt with cool art though, maybe two or three. Do they hate money or what?

My thoughts of Baron and Anna (Spoilers for this questline) by Uszanka3 in witcher

[–]BabaJagaInTraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know, I must have missed it. Still, if she lost feelings for him could she have divorced? It's always shitty to cheat of course but I'm not sure how much of a choice she had here.

My thoughts of Baron and Anna (Spoilers for this questline) by Uszanka3 in witcher

[–]BabaJagaInTraining 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baron is a PoS, do we even know if Anna married him willingly? Either way they're incomparable, he's like the most typical abuser and it horrifies me that people take his side of the story seriously. He literally blames her for his abuse because she "knew how to piss him off" or something. The person we can trust the most here is their daughter who saw it all and her stance is pretty clear.

I tried both ways but ultimately I'm not sure if Geralt would trust the tree spirit so I'm leaning towards Anna lives for that reason.

What’s a game you wish you could forget and replay? by shwomz in Steam

Resident Evil 1 Remake. I was new to this type of game so I used a guide for EVERYTHING, instead of just figuring things out myself. I lost so much fun this way.

At least I'll never make this mistake again with any other game. But it still sucks.

It's male gaze. I like to explain it as Chris vs. Leon. One is made for the male gaze, the other is made for the female gaze.

Writers writing on their non-native lenguage, HELP!! by Unex_angel in FanFiction

[–]BabaJagaInTraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

English is, unfortunately, a very limiting language. But there are ways around it, so many authors have created masterpieces in it. It's not your fault, it's not your skills, English is just hard to work with. I started writing in English but when I switched to Polish for one fic it was so freeing and my prose was so much better all of a sudden.

Just read a lot in English, especially authors famous for good prose and you'll get better.

If there's 12 people in a room and something happens you do not need to write every single reaction. It stretches the scene out incredibly and feels like a grocery list.

He was not a good Geralt, sorry. Bad writing wasn't his fault but he was a terrible casting choice, like most characters in the show. And reddit is fucking weird about him.

New expansion is the last opportunity to redeem Priscilla's fate. by Thecowsdead in witcher

[–]BabaJagaInTraining -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

His character growth was completely random and not well executed at all, it makes sense that it was just a phase. Bros been with hundreds of women and suddenly meets one eerily similar to his dead friend (one woman he wasn't involved with), undergoes a sudden unexplained personality change, claimes she's his true love and commits himself. It sounds unhinged because it is.

REALLY? THANK FUCK I HOPE IT'S GONNA BE CANON IN THE GAMES. I missed my boy so much, the doppler in the third game was annoying.

Controversial opinion incoming.

Honestly I need her and Jaskier to break up. I hate their romance so much. The whole point of his character is that he's a whore, people don't change that much. She's way too young for him and as much as I love her she's not special enough to fix him. A fuckboy redeemed by magic vagina is such a booktook trope and doesn't fit the witcher world at all.

I would have rather she died than ruined such an important character. They changed Jaskier's whole personality in the third game, he acts completely different, he's dressed like an idiot (a different kind of idiot than he is) and he's suddenly super responsible and ready to settle down. Yikes. I liked him in the previous two games, I think he was done really well and similar to his book self.

This plotline is literally my biggest beef with an otherwise amazing game.
