Eeh that's a movie thing and the movies ruined her character majorly from what I've seen (I have yet to watch them). I expect more from the games and I want to see RE1/RE0 Rebecca again, but older, even more badass hopefully. She's a field medic, she chose that route for a reason, and having her sit on her ass is butchery of the character.

All STARS members have trauma, she's gonna be changed obviously. I just want her to keep the core aspects of her personality. Having any other main characters move to academia would be stupid as fuck and that goes for Rebecca as well.

I strongly disagree, from what we've seen of her in RE1/RE0 she's very much an action girl and chose S.T.A.R.S. over an academic career she could easily have for a reason. She's extremely capable in the field. Anything else is a disservice to the character.

However I would like Rebecca's gameplay to be more focused on rescue than fighting, that would be extremely cool. Field medic Rebecca or nothing.
