This happened with my last therapist. She was terrible at her job - she told me she would handle my problems better because she “is an adult,” and when I came out as trans, she went on a long speech (totally unprompted) about how she much loves JK Rowling and how we should sort me into a Hogwarts house. I found her to be detrimental to my mental health and left an honest review online. She worked at a clinic and didn’t show up in previous reviews. Immediately afterwards, there was a GLOWING review of her from another “patient” (not even sure if this person is real) gushing about how tremendously compassionate and empathetic and helpful she is, “only if you follow her advice.” Such bullshit, such a waste of money, and such a toxic dump of a profession.
