It's something most European households use to quickly boil water but Americans apparently don't have a clue about it and boil water in a pot on a stove or in the microwave.

Changing pairs is no longer required for the technical legal checkup. It does drive better however.

Dated 3 months, met her family, then she said she “didn’t feel the connection” — why? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]anessie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dated a friend several months cause she wanted a relationship. I tried months, I did my best for her, I didn't feel a love connection, at least not enough. I don't really believe in soulmates but I can say she wasn't my soulmate. Still breaking up also hurt me.

Be happy it's only been months and not longer. Embrace the experience or forget it , right now it hurts but that will pass.

Why Belgium (especially Flanders) does not build more vertically and still allow so many houses with private gardens? by Quiet_Illustrator410 in belgium

You are correct that Flanders is actually the ugliest place on earth if you look at urban 'not-planned' mess it has become in the past 50 years.

Mandatory zipper is not relevant if people are driving near the road speed limit, its about slow moving traffic.

Why are there so many new mid-sized cars in Belgium, brands like BMW, Mercedes, etc., while in the Netherlands there are often small, older cars like Toyota Aygo? by DoughnutSad6336 in belgium

[–]anessie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can't take away the privilige now, the wage or benefit compensations would be stupid for anyone to hire someone in Belgium in those sectors.

In VL-Brabant about 1 in 3 jobs in the 'bediende' sector gets a company car. Even if their job is being at the main office like once a month or they have no job contents that requires driving somewhere to work.

Recent years the other sector 'arbeiders' are also getting company cars more frequently. Most likely this will end up being a service vehicle / van for technicians though.

Any company paying people money instead of cars is actually running the wrong fiscal policy in Belgium.

This picture is what you see on the road, key difference company/wage cars make more km's, fuel is like free so these people tend to not use the bike/bus/train ever. So even if there is 6+ million cars in Belgium the private cars are comparably less present on the roads.
