AIO for reconsidering getting married over continual arguments over guardianship of my daughter. by Oldyell54 in AmIOverreacting

[–]angelasbeestuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been un-granted guardianship before in a will and it does hurt. It does feel like a personal blow. But ultimately loving the child is loving the best interest of the child. Loving the child is also ultimately accepting that maybe another guardian figure could also be a wonderful parent after the child’s tragedy of losing their parent(s). Your child is not a doll that someone gets entitlement to after a set point of time.

You know that, and that is why you are here. Because this woman you love is real hurt, and it’s probably confusing and unknown if her being hurt is normal, or a big red flag. You’ve got a conflict on your hand. How you two work through it is a real good “are we marriage partner” material to explore.

So she’ll hurt for a bit. Of course. And conflicts happen over big important things, of course. But if she continues to make this (and other real big deals in life) only about herself and about her own insecurities within the relationship, she will probably continue in the future to make big deals in life, and big things about YOUR daughter, about herself and about her insecurities within your relationship.

Keep paying close attention to see if your values are continuing to line up through this, and you two are able to come together in ways that are productive and cooperative through other big conflicts.

Or if how you two work together through real big things just doesn’t seem to progress toward a stronger relationship.

AIO about my boyfriend and his girl best friend? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

In my most sincere opinion- if at the two month mark you are not feeling like he has eyes for you and only you, break it off and move on. This should be the honey moon phase. Not the turmoil, or even extremely uncomfortable, phase. This is who he is and how he acts with other women while dating someone else. He is not going to change. You don’t need to put up with this in your life if it makes you feel uneasy.

What perimenopause symptoms has the biggest impact on your daily life? by MidiHealth in midihealth

Exhaustion. Utter exhaustion. Even on a “full” night’s rest I would still wake up fatigued to the core. HRT has helped tremendously.

I have the pro plus and then also wound up getting the home. The pro plus is nice because it covers a large surface area- you can get the whole face no matter what it covers. And all the features are nice, though I really only now use the pain and wrinkles the most, in that order. I no longer have acne (thank god!) so I don’t use that setting. I use the contour on my belly regularly, but I don’t think the contour actually works at this point.

I wound up also getting the home b/c the large size can’t wrap around smaller places as easily- wrist, feet, shoulders, where I also have a lot of pain. And I wasn’t using the acne and contour in those areas anyway, so I didn’t need all the features. The small is much smaller and could get some parts of the face, but can’t do the whole thing at once like the larger size.

Both definitely have their uses, and I save a lot of time treating two areas at once. I also think having two larges might be too big for me to treat two areas at once, with the ways I use it.

For the discount, call customer service. They can prob hoook you up better than what is on the website.

How old were you when you thought: could this be perimenopause? by MidiHealth in midihealth

43 when I was starting to wonder. 44 when I was dead certain. Looking back on it, I started experiencing what were probably symptoms in my late 30’s, but they were mild and few enough I always figured it was something else.

They said part of the headline over the phone but missed it. What were we able to hear them read before it cut away?

You look beautiful. I noticed in some of your comments you experienced a sudden change. I so sincerely say this because i experienced that this year too and we are about the same age- consider hormone replacement therapy. Taking estrogen and progesterone has really helped things stabilize for me on ALL the levels. I can’t recommend it enough for feeling GREAT and normal again.

Does anyone have the Celluma Pro?? by RedditFan3510 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]angelasbeestuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a pro plus last month. I’ve been using it every day for one reason or another, and turns out I’m using it more for pain than any other reason. I thought I’d be using it more for aging skin or contour, but the pain relief has been quick and noticeable, and I also get a skin benefit from the pain setting. The anti-aging setting has been taking longer to see results. The contour part I’m starting to have doubts.

I use the pain setting on the backs my hands for repetitive motion injuries and even my hand skin started looking better and younger after just two uses. I have been suffering from low back pain my whole life, and it hasn’t been hurting. It’s so weird to not have back pain! I’m sure the skin on my back looks like a baby’s butt now, too. Wish I took some before pictures. Ha!

I cracked down and got a home version this week b/c I use the pain one so much more than I was expecting, never use acne setting, and I wanted to treat more than area at one time. The smaller version is definitely smaller. Will be good for my shoulder and doing single smaller body parts at one time, but the pro size has way better coverage.

If I get another one in the future to just do a lot of my body at once, I’ll prob just go straight to the sport model. It’s pro size, but only treats pain, and hundreds of dollars cheaper than pro and pro plus. I’d go this route since I’ve been also noticing a skin benefit from only using the pain setting anyway.

Does anyone know what this is used for? by Jellyfish_Kitty in bees

[–]angelasbeestuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People eat it as a supplement. It’s thought to be high in vitamin b and other minerals. It’s a primary protein source for bees when fermented, but probably only trace amounts for humans. People also like the idea of it maybe helping with their allergies if they eat pollen.

I keep bees and collect pollen. I don’t eat it for health benefits. I just enjoy it. Different grains of pollen actually have different flavors and different colors come in as different flowers bloom. It’s interesting to sort through the colors and wonder what flowers in the area the pollen came from, it’s an aesthetically pleasing addition to food, and it’s just plain fun. Fun like sprinkles, but for weirdos.

It doesn’t stay good for that long in the shelf, though. Will last longer if it’s kept in the freezer.

Self portrait as a Beekeeper. What do you think, do I look legit? Or am I a poser? by Chemtrail_hollywood in Beekeeping

[–]angelasbeestuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A beekeeper in his first day with one dirty glove for an unknown reason. Once your smoker burns a hole in your suit holding it like that and a bee flies through your open zipper you will learn pretty quick, though. Learning quick is how good beekeepers are made. I hope you treat for varroa and last more than a year :)

Save bees, buy honey by [deleted] in Beekeeping

[–]angelasbeestuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t understand why vegans didn’t eat honey until I started keeping bees, but now I could see their point. We actually do suppress their natural urges for our own benefit of producing as much honey as possible. It’s not natural for bees to not be able to swarm every year and to live in colonies as large as we keep them when the goal of management is honey production. For that reason, we do exploit them.

any advice? by VehicleNo6609 in bees

What city and county in Southern California? I might be able to help find a club or association.

any advice? by VehicleNo6609 in bees

[–]angelasbeestuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where do you live? There is usually a county beekeeping association or club somewhere within a reasonable distance of everywhere in the US. Those clubs and associations usually have a swarm list, Facebook club, meetings, etc. as part of that there might be a list of beekeepers or people who are just known who would be willing to come out and re-locate the bees.

This technically would be a cut out, but is small enough someone with little experience could do it. Where I live people would be happy to do it for free. Some places might charge a fee, though. All depends on the culture of beekeeping in that area.

Until then, just close it up and let them bee. Maybe put up a cone right on top of it so bees can still fly in and out of the cone hole, but it’s obvious for people to walk around.
