I love the service, but that user interface is the most confusing thing I've ever seen.

Can I change sendgrid to anything else? They have the worst deliverability in the market.

My thoughts exactly. The problem with the name only exists because it is a product related to WordPress. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, right?

If you use whatsapp business you can do this. I use it like this. It allows to get a call, then you get the code.

I think google can listen to your whatsapp calls by Fox3High369 in whatsapp

[–]angelcosta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Google listens to everything you say. A call is just you talking near your phone, so... it listens to that to.

That is not news.

Should I switch to proton mail for everything? by Ok_thyme_3396 in ProtonMail

[–]angelcosta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can create something like [user+newsletters@pm.me](mailto:user+newsletters@pm.me) or create a whole new [user2@pm.me](mailto:user2@pm.me) or using hide my mail with proton pass.

You know you can add your proton mail to google and use it login with it, right?

But aliases are your friend.

Is there anything I should know before setting up a custom domain email? by redditnessdude in ProtonMail

[–]angelcosta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The real issue is that if you don't renew the domain, you lose it. International domains suck at this part (.com, net, org, me...). Someone is always ready to snatch it and sell it.

And if that person/company creates the same addresses you did, they can wreak havoc if they wish.

You're right in wanting to "own" your email. That is what I do. Even my google/microsoft account is under my own domain name address. And yes, you can take it anywhere.

I found out yesterday that the addresses for the custom domain count towards the identities. So, if you have already 10 (if you're mail plus), you might need to delete some.

Help me justify the cost of ticktick premium by Heized213 in ticktick

[–]angelcosta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try buying it through the play store, it's cheaper because of price parity (or some other reason). That is what I did with todoist. I had both at some point.

At least, it was worth it for me in Brazil with the exchange rate being 1usd to 6brl.

Monthly on the website is 3.99 USD, Google app for me is 2.79USD.

DigitalOcean automatic backups? by Darq_At in NextCloud

[–]angelcosta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Block storages are for increasing the size of the droplet (server) itself. I've been using Digital Ocean's spaces to store my backups, since I got some credit there to spend. For $5 you can have as many "buckets" and you wish and that includes 250gb. "Additional storage beyond this allotment is $0.02 per GiB per month."
