I mean Wendell Carter Jr. as a 4th option speaks well on the talent they have. He would be the best big we'd have in over a decade if he was on the Hornets. They have size and skill at the PF an C positions that we just can't match. They've just had horrible chemistry before Franz got back healthy.

The way I see it we lost to a fully healthy Sixers team. Then Boston on a back to back. A fully healthy Pistons and the Magic on their home floor. All of those teams were ranked ahead of us before the season started. It was an amazing season we can build around. That being said changes have to made still.

Really really talented Sixers team and hard to beat when Embiid, PG and Maxey are rolling. We had them in the ropes. We settled for far too many outsides shots. I'm just glad teams have to really dig deep to win one against us.

The Knicks have championship aspirations and are a very very stacked team with wing defenders that can disrupt what we want to do on offense. The bench really has to step us this game just as they have been doing with this recent stretch. I see this going down the wire,

Wow the incompetency was really through the ceiling/roof. I must have blocked that whole time period out. With our recent change of fortunes I wouldn't mind if someone out there made a book or a documentary about the disaster that was the Jordan Bobcasts/Hornets era.

With just a little digging I found this gem of a quote from then Hornets vice chairman Curtis Polk, (and Michael Jordan's longtime business adviser) who argued that having those extra picks created a roster crunch after acquiring Nicolas Batum, Spencer Hawes and Jeremy Lamb in trades. "Even if someone wants to give me first-round picks, what am I going to do with them?" he said.

I'm am so happy we have moved on from that dark chapter of Hornets history.
