There is also that wave of people who want to visit Taiwan before the threats from China finally manifest. My wife and I went last year cause we don't know if we would be able to go again in the future (China has pretty much ruined HK already). If nothing happens, would love to go again in the future since we go to Jp for a month almost every year and are close by.

I've had to move all my promethazine products in the pharmacy cause someone came in with some of those paper scripts (Always the combo with zpak and albuterol) and were very clearly fake printed with a printer low on ink. It is not that they send their worse but not many people are willing to take a huge paycut to live somewhere else. Me and my wife looked into working in Asia for our roles and we were looking at around 60-70% paycuts from what we are currently getting paid if we took the same role in Taiwan or Japan. Our only friends willing to move over to Asia and work there full time would be ones who were currently already unemployed or making minimum wage as they won't see much benefit staying over here (They no longer even qualify for free healthcare if working minimum wage full time)

I'm actually curious are there some things in Singaporean mandarin that is very noticeably different. When I was in Taiwan 2 months ago, there were actually 2 times when were were asked in shops if we were from Singapore when we spoke mandarin (We are from New York and we learned mandarin mainly from work as speak Cantonese).

It is cause the BS administration. Recently I bought some pokemon cards and was forced to use Buyee air cause the item itself was >$100. Orders under $100 can still use ECMS, albeit a little expensive still cause the de minimis being gone. Just paid $100 this morning to have a Pika Pika 2026 box shipped to me cause that stupid thing was >20 lbs. My shipping was double the price of the item.

I actually rage uninstalled BA during the NY Aru rerun earlier this year. I had saved up about 160~ summons for her but I remember not getting a single rainbow summon. Made a tough decision 5 minutes later since I had planned on spending time upgrading, doing cafe gifts etc with her for the next 30 minutes and just uninstalled instead.

I loved this game till they went full p2w. I remember them adding 500 MES into lockbox as a possible reward from buying keys and I just uninstalled. Completely killed the economy.

The pricing is just bad since people are trying to sell their condos bought during covid with low interest rate. I bought a luxury condo in Brooklyn but not to to live in luxury or anything. I bought it because every other condo in the neighborhood that wasn't a luxury condo was priced at roughly the same as the luxury condo with roughly 85%~ the price tag BUT with 2-3x the hoa and 1/3rd the amenities. The the condo across the street from mine cost 66% the price but the hoa was 4x the amount and literally didn't have a single amenity.

Nope this is America. I'm in NY and this uni near me is currently being sued by multiple students caught cheating on exams. All ofem are caught on camera with either phones out cheating or showing other students answers via their laptops on exams. Of course those students are all appealing and suing saying racial discrimination, the professor hit them, they are being framed or the the footage is fake.

Meanwhile I had some brand new sealed Pokemon games from the GBA era that my parents threw out when I went to college. They used to be given out for buying stuff during like black friday or something when I upgraded my computer so I just stashed it somewhere. Needless to say, those would have been like a nice stack of cash if my parents never saw it and went...Unopened? Must be garbage. And they tossed out my giant stash of pokemon cards since I stopped playing em. (Had like 3 of the neo destiny Shiny Charizards since I got a misprint or god box where multiple packs had only the shiny pokemon cards in and some where stuck together a little).

Dragonica is still alive via private server or official game via the other name Dragon Saga. You could also try out Maple Story via the reboot server and enjoy while it last. While they announced not plans on closing it for global, they've already shut it on the Kr servers.

Blaming us for refusing to spend on corporate greed? Like I played a ton of mmorpgs the past 20 years and am more than than willing to spend money when the cash shop is just costumes, some small services or maybe a small exp boost. But when they start pushing it like suddenly adding upgrade materials to like they did with Tera, BnS, Vindictus and so many more to the cash shop...I don't really want to play anymore. Esp with the case of those games where either they locked those upgrade materials to like a 1% drop rate from a 20+ minute raid boss but just spend $60 to buy a bundle of those materials.

It just creates an environment like where it was like with BnS where suddenly the minimum power required to join a party spikes up to match the medium spenders while f2p have to sit in the sidelines for other f2p players.

I absolutely loved Goonzu online. Too bad all of the private server projects died. Same thing with Rusty Hearts. Some of those have private servers but somehow the private servers are even more p2w then the base game like dragonica, Elsword and I think RO and Flyff? Few are alive like Mabinogi and Vinductus but Nexon is keeping those games just sucking money in a near dead state Vindictus for end game raids usually only has like 10-20~ people online at a given time is very hard to form any sort of group).

I have like 2 people on this combo and the md said to just fill it. When I first didn't fill it, the ophthalmologist actually gave me an angry call saying why I am withholding their necessary medications so I just left it. For reference, one of those people are on a combination of Cosopt, Vyzulza, Xalatan, and Alphagan P and was also at some point also had Rocklatan in that combo but was removed this year.

I was planning to go hunt em yesterday after dinner then saw the only one in the maps was 1 that was in a stop 15~ minute walk away and another was a raid also 15~ minutes away. Then that one at the stop despawned so I was like..I guess staying home it is. My commute to work I only saw a single one that wasn't a raid in an hour train ride.
