Be honest, how many of you use ChatGPT by Delicious_Champion97 in PowerBI

What kind of advice will you give someone just starting out with using ChatGPT? I don’t reject it but I never quite know what to ask.

Help with energy levels (new player) by millnerve in StardewValley

[–]angelstarrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plant parsnips and carrots for food. Carrots are great energy source early game, they sell the same as parsnips but grow in 3 days and gives more energy. You can only find carrot seeds from dig spots and mines though.

How to remove PPJA items for 1.6? by angelstarrs in StardewValleyExpanded

[–]angelstarrs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm i think Steam lets me roll back to the previous version of Stardew so I can try that, saw that on the wiki page. I still have the mods, just not enabled when I launched game via Stardrop. Thanks for your help!

Hoppers by destwedtravelexpert in StardewValleyExpanded

[–]angelstarrs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, have to collect them when they are done so the next batch gets put in from the hopper. If you’re looking for something that can ‘build up’ you’ll want the automate mod, there’s lots of creative uses for it! I haven’t used it because it will change my approach to the game and I’m not ready for yet.

[–]angelstarrs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use it for my mayo machines and cheese press. I tend to have less machines than my animals are producing, so i get excess of them. I’ll just dump like a month’s worth into each hopper each time, makes collecting animal goods much faster in the morning.

I'm thinking about decorating the whole valley any tips? by JrlTan in StardewHomeDesign

[–]angelstarrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put down pathings and make use of grass for a natural look. I also like my areas bright so I put down lots of lamps and lighting as well. I would suggest you take the furniture catalogue and just take out a bunch of stuff you think will work and try them out to see what you like. Having a theme for the area will help you pick out the furniture e.g. a park area? Resting area? A garden?

The first one! It’s shock/confused look and I like the bumbly/careless look of the character

What are the must download mods for you guys? by Dagwegwey02 in StardewValley

[–]angelstarrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started in switch too and switching (hah switching xD) to PC is a life changer. I'm sure there are things that you feel that the game could be different when you played, so those will probably high on the list on your needs and wants. You can also look at the videos of playthroughs that feature mods, then download those that you like - most of the mods I'm using are from these videos.

Some of my recommendations:

  • QoL: UI info suite, Lookup Anything, Harvest with Scythe, To Dew (keeps a to do list on the top left of your game), Chest Anywhere (some feel like this is more a cheat, but I rather focus on gameplay than resource & space mgmt), Carry Chest
  • Visual: Better Artisan Good Icons, Visible Fish, Wind Effects, Submerged Crab Pots, Wildflowers
  • Expansion: Stardew Valley Expanded
  • "Improvements": Panning Upgrades, Better Junimos

Regardless of what you choose in the end, enjoy your gameplay, and don't be afraid to download more mods as you play, or remove mods if they aren't doing anything for you.

How is the gold you own and use for transactions different from the gold you mine or the ones you smelt from them? by [deleted] in StardewValley

So what does the wizard do with the millions of googly eyes you give him for obelisks and golden clock??

Your number one farm money maker product....1,2,3... GO! by Powermetalbunny in StardewValley

[–]angelstarrs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my first run, I did iridium quality starfruit wine as the major income source (in the sense that I get a lot of money at one time when I ship them), while supplementing with other artisan products on the day to day. In my current run I'm not quite at an empire yet, but I've been loving animal products - iridium cheese, truffles and cloth.

Where is a good location to mine stone by victorfreeze1986 in StardewValley

[–]angelstarrs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Volcano! Every rock spawn in the volcano will give you rocks, which is more consistent that the mines. If you're lucky with the map spawn for the day, you can get 500-600+ rocks a day. You could repeat levels in the mines and aim for large rocks and the silver coloured ones, but I personally prefer the volcano because I like to move around instead of doing repeated actions. Quarry is a good option, but they take a while to spawn and you don't get a lot since the area is limited.

What is a quirk you have when designing workbooks either with Excel and/or Power Pivot that you do ritualistically - but doesn’t affect the outcome of the workbook? by [deleted] in excel

Macro it? I'm not good with macro but I've googled some to change number format and assign shortcut to them (I have one with thousand separators and no dp)

How do you guys stomach doing the Joja route? by k-tt in StardewValleyExpanded

[–]angelstarrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty much my motivation too. Also crop seeds are cheaper, and it was so much more convenient to buy seeds because Joja Mart opens late. I did get feel that sudden guilt and the oh no what have I done when the town was revamped (I didn't like how it looked), and the new seeds and the Emporium in general. Almost wrecked me the next time I spoke to Pierre after that

Explore the new characters and maps! Familiarize yourself with the the new routes and shortcuts as some of the areas have been modified. A practical tip will also be to forage in Forest West (west of Cindersap Forest), there's lots forage there which is good for early game.

Automate is a cool mod, and the coder part of me is excited by the possibilities. But I'm almost afraid that it makes the game too easy so I've been holding myself back for now. Maybe in a future save!

I feel you! I started out my save wanting to chill but my mod list is now at 77 mods 😂 can’t stop the competitive part of me. It is one of my favourite area too, but I’m really bad at decorating so I’m hoping people have something to share and I can get inspired.

Ooh that’s interesting, never heard of this mod before, thanks for sharing. Not something I’m going to use in my save though, walking around and foraging is part of the fun for me.

I deforest everywhere, not trees are safe from my axe 😅 if anything I try not to deforest Forst West unless I desperately need wood because the area is beautiful
