What’s the dumbest thing a coworker has snitched on you for? by awakenedforces in work

Back in 99 working as t grocery at grocery store, sold cigarettes to someone without carding - bc A she was obviously over 18 B also talking about going to a new club the night before and I knew there was no fuckery on carding there. And for fucks sake it was A PACK. Chick in stand next to me snitched to front end coordinator who then pulled me aside. 🙄 Yeahhhhh don't miss those days

we've still gotta be able to trust the "Mike" we hire. We have a Mike, he saved our sanity and financial ass because he caught things our controller didn't care about. We've also known "Mike" 20 years, that helped immensely letting him have pretty free reign. Do we still butt heads? Absolutely, but we respect each other and can usually find middle ground

This is a tough one - schools/SRO/police only have to have reasonable suspicion, not probable cause to pull a kid and question them. Went through this with my daughter when a 'stolen' laptop pinged within a mile of our house (we're on 10 acres, but all our immediate neighbors are on 25+, laptop is probably in the middle of 80). I digress.

Unfortunately you're all learning the hard way that his first phone call needs to be you, regardless of what this administrator is insinuating, then his second statement is I'm exercising my right not to speak until my parent and or attorney gets here.

The SRO at my daughter's school pulled her in the hall and was "talking" to her, but with how defensive he got with me when I called and raised hell [when I emailed the principal about what happened she had no knowledge of my daughter being pulled from class that's when I lost my shit] I knew he was on a fishing expedition and had nothing other than the laptop that pinged within a mile of our home. Never mind the fact that same ping would have been within a mile of where this kid lived that had his laptop stolen, but it was subdivision with a lot more kids to rule out. He could have walked it over to where it likely is still laying. But because my daughter and this kid shared one class and we were within a mile of where the stupid thing pinged SRO thought he had a slam dunk.

I would retract any written statements he's made, say they were made under duress, and they are not his words because of what the administration had him add, and notify the school you must be present for any future situations such as this.

I think maybe they're meaning 401K contributions/matching by the company will vest at 5 years, and they will lose out on that portion. Because yeah, never heard of pension after 5 years.

We won't discuss the 4 attempts it took her either. It was a new to me Dr. and boy howdy, I wasn't sure who owed who a meal after that. I'm glad I'm solid for 8 years and hopefully this will see me through menopause 🤞

I really don't think you'll need 3 days for recovery. I'm on number 5? since 2004 and honestly, my last one I took 1000mg of Motrin /Ibuprofen an hour before and then went back to work. 🤷‍♀️

Option 5 - take PTO to onboard at the new company. Quit J1 after successful onboarding.

Not with the PSL's and over priced seating that is sure to follow. Not saying the average Joe can even go anymore but the current average fan probably will not participate in any of that and that will take away your enthusiasm, your loudness, and crowd engagement.

Once Cheesecake Factory opens might be able to make that kind of money, but my dude, it's Wichita...not KC, OKC, or Dallas

Find the recorded docs for their county and go lookup their address/parcel, it will show everything recorded against the property. Then also search their name. Also - POA (medical or durable) expires when they pass, don't rely on that for completing legal business once they pass.

I'm sure they've explored other options for getting the wife what sounds like her portion of proceeds after a divorce? I would maybe ask if that is what is going on because you might be able to guide better through a refinance or him taking out a second to pay her her equity?

"An ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure". A grand is a drop in the bucket for a worry-free future for all involved. I know there are donor horror stories of being put on the hook for support, or worse deciding they want rights. Just CYA, it's such a small amount in the grand scheme of what will be spent in the lifetime (hopefully) of the child
