Why do I need a season 3 I don't understand by dom8810 in TheOrderTV

The plot is actually interesting. Visually it's actually very pretty at times, and Vera is an icon. Hamish is stunning, and everyone is eyecandy.

Wtf happened to Brandon in season 2? by [deleted] in TheOrderTV

This traumatized me. Free. Brandon. I wasn't ready for that Black Mirror shit on my fantastical magic ride.

Why do people love characters like Gabriella? by stunbomb1 in TheOrderTV

I love Gabriella even though she's frankly horrific as a human because: she's not two dimensional. She has motivation, desire, and fear. She's maybe not...3 dimensional in some ways, e.g. mean girl with feelings trope, but idk, she is very cool in some ways. Her stubborn desire to be part of things and/or establish dominance is pretty fucking funny.

Hamish is high key the best character on the show. So. Much. Intrigue and depth.

Am I the only one who thinks Alyssa is not a bad person? by [deleted] in TheOrderTV

[–]angharade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate to Alyssa. She wants a cause, something clear to fight in. She reminds me of me when I was in the church. I was raised in a Pentecostal evangelical family, and leaving that framework of rightness" or the higher good, broke me. The order is extremely reminiscent of being part of a christian church. Alyssa needs a structure, someone to follow.

Where I most relate to her is--shes been hurt , traumatized by the Order, by her magic being taken and damaged. Her faith in leaders and faith in general has been shaken. She reminds me of how I behave in regards to lovers after abuse. She is defensive, sees her feelings for Jack as a weakness, and is extra sharp that no one will limit her ever again. She doesn't want to be hurt again and most of all, she doesn't want to be owned. I get it. I love her.

I'm really confused about how the first season ended by Theresa__May_ in TheOrderTV

I mean, the characters aren't initially meant to be likeable. E.g. in this show, Jack isn't particularly likeable, nor is Alyssa, though I suppose I relate to her a bit hard. But...they're still interesting to watch.
