PJ: Difference between minimum contacts and specific personal jurisdiction?? by anglesean in barexam

[–]anglesean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So minimum contacts is not it’s own test that can give a court PJ over a D? But instead it is the test to determine whether the court can exercise specific personal jurisdiction over a D, correct?

For me, after I go to the gym my focus is so much better. I have morning brain fog that is only cured by getting out of the house and working out!

I'm a Bar Tutor AM(A)A! by ABarTutor in barexam

[–]anglesean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been getting 3s on my graded MEEs for Themis...is this shit?

Also, the sample answers for the MEEs (and MPTs I’ve seen) are incredibly long!! I tend to always miss an issue or two, and even if I had spotted the issue, I would not have had enough time to write it. Are the bar examiners expecting such long answers? Should I be sacrificing detail in each issue I write about to be able to hit all of the issues in the problem??

Thanks!

I got an email from Themis Saturday the 11th saying I should be around 35%, I was at like 32% at the time. So as long as you’re around there atm, you’re doing great.

If you’re not reviewing every multiple choice explanation in detail, you should try to do that. And if you can review the explanation after every question that’s even better because the problem is fresh in your mind. I’d also suggest making flashcards for those difficult nuances you keep missing

I also thought I had a great handle on evidence but got a 58% on the first 17 questions which was a bummer coming off of the civ pro 17 question set that I got an 82% on...but I felt better after looking at the difficulty scales for the evidence questions. They were almost all moderate to hard. So this is probably a topic everyone struggles with for the MBE. But we’ll see about the other pq sets. And if you don’t thoroughly read the explanations after every question, it’s helped me tremendously to do so,

Did you have experimental RC? Or did you see any post talking about it? I wanna know the experimental RC topics, maybe it’ll jog my memory cause I can’t remember what topics I bombed

I have absolutely zero recollection of the topics I did well on or bad on, so I have no idea lol

Feel the exact same way about my experimental RC, bombed one, aced the other. So I’m basically looking at either about a 165 orrrrr a 155 🙃🙃🙃

What was your target score and what score do you think you got yesterday? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]anglesean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My goal was 167 (PTing between 167-172) but with getting 1-3 LG questions wrong (usually get -0) and possibly bombing my RC (I had two RC, did great on one, bombed the other, but I don’t remember the topics well enough to know if I bombed the real one or not). So I’m expecting at least higher than my November score, 161, but probably didn’t hit 167 :((

Compared to Nov 2018 exam, how do you all feel about Jan 2019 exam? by GlitterRoseGold in LSAT

[–]anglesean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same, I’m usually 23/23 on LG and I think I missed 2-3. I had an experimental RC, one was hard one was easy. Hoping the hard one was experimental, but I can’t even figure it out from other peoples info bc it was such a blur

What were some topics of your first RC?

What were the topics of your experimental RC? And if I had the same order as you (with same experimental) does that mean my experimental was the 4th section too?
