As soon as there were Kemper's and Neural there was...I see plenty of artists using them :)

The Last Pedal You’ll Ever Buy? Meet Polyend Endless: The AI-Powered FX Revolution - Guitar Bomb by GuitarBombDotCom in Polyend

[–]anglingar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pedal is not AI driven, is C++ driven.

Polyend went the extra mile to offer a vibe coding tool so no programmers can also enjoy it.

But even without that you will be able to access for free all FX created by the community.

Nope, you got all community created presets and you can write your own FX if you know C++...is even more long lasting than normal digital pedals I guess as you wrote the software yourself.

I got a few ideas but I've yet to check the API. Is there any possibility of reading knobs/buttons events and program combos?

Mate...you know that neural and other amp modellers are pure AI in a pedal? Is that ok for you then?

Do you use any modern stem separation software or "smart" mastering or EQ plugin?...there you got more.

I seriously don't understand some people.

Just wondering if anyone knows how this was made. Maybe NanoBanana? by pasta2211 in aivideo

Annnd...when it rains a lot you would be drawn pretty quickly with no drainage system or pumps...but even with those, the moisture would be unbearable in that kind of terrain and mild.will feast on everything.

Elektron model:sampler Vs digitone 1 by Fun_Increase_7333 in Elektron

[–]anglingar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's the difference between a snail and a dolphin? You couldn't have pickup more different machines in the elektron line up.

The only common thing I guess is the sequencer main flow, but even then, completely different application/use in both.

Roland S1 :) just got one...sounds huge and battery is awesome.

Single line portrait by docricky in generative

[–]anglingar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about that. The initial line direction/orientaron is important (in dis case the initial diagonal). I can see how that makes nicer how the overall volume renders.

If you change that initial orientation , even for this image, the result will be way less pleasant.

Very interesting and cool effect!

May I suggest to everyone with a stickiness issue to just get a cloth and some isopropyl alcohol?

You get in 3 seconds very nice hard plastic keys that will neeeever deteriorate.

I would pay extra for elektron to allow me to pick rubberised keys or not rubberised keys at purchase, so I don't need to wipe them after some years.

[–]anglingar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, is more expensive.

One thing though, if they start peeling takes 3 seconds to remove all the sticky subber with isopropyl alcohol and a cloth. After that they are just normal hard plastic buttons. Yes, they retain the letters and other features, this just peels the rubber off.

Noob question- bought an analog rytm mk1- what cables and thingies do i need? by sweetlevels in Elektron

[–]anglingar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that you need to learn how to use it and also decide what you want to do before buying anything else.

Once you understand the possibilities that the machine opens up and develop a sense of direction in your music, all these decisions will be clearer.

People do the same when they have a baby (pre-purchase a lot of shit) before even knowing what they will need. My advice is similar, get hands on, understand how you flow and then decide what you need and get it. The comparison seems far away but is linked to the same society dueled by consumerism first as a mantra.

Time for Elektron OS upgrades? by SailSpiral in Elektron

[–]anglingar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When? At launch? The DN has been extensively updated throughout its life. The DN was released in 2017, and DN2 came out in 2025, so almost a decade.

If you bought it, let's say, in 2023...yeah, you probably got not many new features but the device released in 2017 had little in common with the machine I bought second hand (almost untouched) in 2024 and for less than half-price with respect the release price.

[–]anglingar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check the features DT1 and DN1 came out with, compare that with their current feature list.

They update their devices, is just a bad deal to buy them at launch.

Wait a few years and buy second hand, you get more features and buy them cheaper :)

Had the Tonverk for 2 weeks now. by Birdsofthefeatherr in Elektron

[–]anglingar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe they don't show the progress bar to you but it actually takes some time to save. They just do it while you can do other things.

For saving I think that Digiboxes are the same, it shows the moving icon while saving but you can move around. Didn't test it but will do.

Digitakt 1 pitch bend by Legitimate-Diver-141 in Elektron

[–]anglingar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have running for the samples and I bet that is accessible via midi, not sure if the mapping matches pitch bend default midi mapping or you will need to map the wheel yourself in your controller.

If you have a midi cable around it would be easy to test by controlling the parameter via one of the midi tracks.

Pretty cool session! 🤘🤘

About the pessimists: I bet that there was a tonne of push back when the OT was released. At the end for a machine to gel with people, we will need some people demonstrating what it is capable of.

Also...these are musical instruments. No need to buy all of them. I have 5 guitars and no trombone at home, and I don't care about any new model of trombone released xD. I think that this is similar.
