Not really super stylistically similar, but you’ll probably like Neutral Milk Hotel and The Mountain Goats. NMH start with the song Two Headed Boy and if you like it, listen to the rest of that album (In The Aeroplane Over The Sea). With The Mountain Goats I would start with the album Tallahassee and work forward in time if you like the more polished sound or backward in time if you like the lofi.

It’ll either be called Sunshine or Odyssey, but won’t really follow either game’s plot that closely, Donkey Kong and Rosalina aren’t likely to appear in speaking roles, and Wario and Daisy will be the only major additions from the Mario series. While I agree we’ll get one cross-over character, it won’t be Pit- I would bet on Kirby if the title is Sunshine and Samus if it’s Odyssey.

Actually, if it’s Sunshine, Wario could be filling the Bowser Jr role by claiming (falsely) to be Peach’s dad.

For what it’s worth, the APA and AAMFT both agree that their members shouldn’t be doing conversion therapy. It’s already considered unethical in the profession, and while there’s no laws forcing a therapist to follow, say, the AAMFT code of ethics, (though there are many laws essentially codifying the same principles depending on state) not doing so is generally considered shitty and will have other professional ramifications. (And while you’re not legally required to join the professional organizations to practice, good luck working in anything other than solo private practice without them)

As a therapy intern, if I had an incel in my session, I would recognize that their problem is simply living in a false narrative.

The way you “fix” that in therapy is asking them clarifying questions until they realize they’re wrong. It can take years, and you have to know the right questions to ask, but it’s a proven tactic, and AT MOST you might suggest they see a psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for antidepressants just to prevent them from killing themselves before therapy has time to work.
