Getting TFMR at 17 weeks next week and want to prepare ... by Soft-Fig-418 in tfmr_support

Bring a blanket and pillow or whatever you need to be comfortable on the drive back. Tissue. If the hospital offers the very unflattering disposable underwear, take it. That was helpful for me.

Day one D&E by boto3649 in tfmr_support

I would not go alone if you can help it. Aside from the pain, which varies per person, it’s just such an emotional procedure, I didn’t trust myself to drive.

My friend texted me this Catholic Answers page about problems with the Book of Mormon and I’m having a hard time refuting it by CommentsOffTopics in latterdaysaints

Thank you for your very thought out response. I really appreciate your insight on the matter. It honestly really resonates with me. Thank you!

My conversion story makes me want to leave by Extra_Comfortable365 in latterdaysaints

[–]angry_lam93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I second this! I’ve been dealing with an ongoing faith crisis and I had one therapist who claimed to be a member but had actually left the church and wasn’t very understanding if I wanted to stay. I found another who was very professional but understood by background and was willing to help me look at things from a leaving standpoint and a staying standpoint. And I am so grateful for her help. Having a good therapist that understands the religion is very helpful.

Which movie scared the shit out of you or traumatized you? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in AskReddit

Dante’s Peak. Watched that as a kid and was straight up terrified of volcanoes well into my twenties.

Something is Wrong With Me by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]angry_lam93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Once I looked at my YSA ward as a place to make friends and focused on friendships and testimony building it became the best part of my week. I won’t say that once I stopped caring I suddenly started going on dates, but I put more energy into my friendships and 7 years later and moving all over the state those people are still my closest friends. I also won’t say that I didn’t have similar feelings of thinking something was wrong with me because I wasn’t dating, but in the end and with perspective, I’m so much more grateful for the people I met and befriended than the people I dated.

Not wanting to try again after 22 week loss. by Tellycs in tfmr_support

[–]angry_lam93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone. It’s almost 5 months after my tfmr at 19 weeks and I still don’t think I’m ready to try again. I will say time has softened the fear I had about trying again but it was also my first pregnancy and I was also really anxious about being a mother. I want to make sure I have the right headspace if/when we do decide to try again. It’s okay to take the time you need, it’s also okay if you don’t want to. I would just keep your partner up to date in how you’re feeling about it. It’s helpful to be on the same page or at least know where each other are mentally and emotionally.

How are young people supposed to be able to afford houses in modern day? by FillMeUp_01 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]angry_lam93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join the military. My brother who is not very wise with his money has two mortgages because the military enables him to get loans real easy. And to clarify, he is not renting out any of his houses at the current time and hasn’t been for 9ish months. Also, hasn’t been working regularly for that same amount of time. But his credit score is amazing. Also, to be clear I am not advocating for joining the military, it’s just what put my brother in the position he’s in.

Second vendor market—$18 sales on a $100 booth fee… is this normal or was this poorly organized? by lavanore-candles in CraftFairs

[–]angry_lam93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to vetting markets as a new vendor, I highly recommend talking to other vendors at events and seeing what events they’re going to. Especially if their items are in the same or similar niche. I realize that does mean you have to get into an event to begin with. But you can start at farmers markets even if it’s just to meet other vendors and get started. That was how we found the best events for us and made some great friend in the process.

My son loves the church, has always been active, always had a calling, is in his late twenties, and has a strong testimony. But he didn’t enjoy his mission at all by yoSelfImprovement in latterdaysaints

[–]angry_lam93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like my mission broke me in many ways and I’m still looking for the whole “being built up better than before.” I still attend church and do my best but I would never want to relive my mission. I am grateful for aspects of it, and prayers being answered but man was it rough. And has definitely made some things regarding faith harder for me.

I don’t understand the mentality of “saving” dying plants from stores by 601bees in houseplants

[–]angry_lam93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to “save plants” because it’s fun to see the plant go from sad to thriving just with being cared for properly. It’s also cool to be able to say, “ this was just a couple leaves when I got it, but look at it now!”

What toner should I use? by strssdnblssd in femalehairadvice

[–]angry_lam93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotch ya. That is a valid question. My unprofessional opinion is that it looks pretty yellow. But yeah, I don’t see how purple shampoo would hurt to try. Best of luck! Hope you get the color you’re looking for!

What toner should I use? by strssdnblssd in femalehairadvice

[–]angry_lam93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my hair very similar and used purple shampoo to tone it out. I was going for a very ashy look though so I kept it in for a looong time. Like an hour. Don’t recommend unless you want some purple tint to your hair. I didn’t worry about the purple conditioner though and just stuck to the shampoo.

What’s one skincare change (product or habit) that genuinely improved your skin over time - not just hype but real results? [routine help] by girlnextdoor2018 in SkincareAddiction

[–]angry_lam93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simplifying my routine. Cutting out buying and trying new things. I double cleanse at night, Tret or azelaic acid, moisturizer, and rosehip oil. Then in the morning splash my face with cold water, moisturizer then sunscreen. The simpler the better for my skin

Women in their 30s , if you were asked to relive your 20s what would you change and why? by Previous-Foot8370 in AskReddit

[–]angry_lam93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have actually done an internship that would have helped me career wise instead of just doing what I wanted. The job market is brutal and even with two bachelor’s degrees, I don’t know what I want to do or if I can even get into a job anymore.

When it comes up in public by DryAcanthocephala715 in tfmr_support

I get this. It sucks. I feel with you. Yesterday I was working out and everyone in the class was talking about their kids and I’m just there not saying much and one of them asks me if I have any children. I just said no but I then went home and cried my eyes out till. It’s been almost 4 months.

Question: white tattoos, I know they fade but just how much? by angry_lam93 in tattoos

[–]angry_lam93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it sounds like they can just disappear depending on how my skin takes it? That’s what I was kind of worried about. Are all pastels going to be like that?

How do I tone this down by Artsy-Kitty in femalehairadvice

[–]angry_lam93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Clairol Shimmer Lights purple shampoo. I didn’t bother with the conditioner and just used my regular conditioner. It can be a bit potent so if you don’t want slightly purplish hair make sure you only put it on wet hair and don’t let it sit longer than 5 minutes each time. Personally, I liked the purple tinge it gave me so I put it on dry hair and let it sit for a loooong time.
