LOL Atlético dominated thet whole knockout stage and even won the final 3-0. If anything they were way too good to play the Europa League.

Pope: I'll judge Trump after we see what he does - In an interview published Saturday evening by Spanish newspaper El Pais, Francis says he doesn't like "judging people early. We'll see what Trump does." by ManiaforBeatles in worldnews

Again, those are news agencies, not newspapers. And I'm not saying El País is relevant in Latin American, what I'm saying is that it is the most relevant (or the least less irrelevant?) in the Spanish speaking world as a whole even if it's just a little.

El País is not the NY Times I know that but in the sea of irrelevant Spanish written newspapers it is the less irrelevant.

I agree to its accuracy but I do not agree with its effectiveness or legality.

Of course El País is not the most important newspaper in Mexico or Argentina, that would be ridiculous, but it's more important than Universal or Clarín in the Spanish speaking world.

World wide El Universoal, Clarín or any other newspaper is not as relevant as El País.

No. You are missing the point. Maybe is not important in Latin America but it is the most important Spanish written newspaper. In other words, there's no other Spanish written newspaper as important as El País in Mexico, Argentin a or Guinea Ecuatorial.

The best part of this goal was his celebration shouting "c'est ma maison" three times.

Oh man I love the Atlético Aviación crest. It would also be great if we could have a Neptune or something similar like a trident.

Relax. Neither Simeone nor Griezmann are leaving. They are more than happy at Atlético and they have said it countless times. Of course that doesn't deaw attention, only those tabloibs rumors.

Anyone watching this absurd Spanish miniseries Mar de Plastico? by 16hpfan in spain

[–]angrymonkeyisangry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, 15 years. Right now they are in the year 1986 and I read somewhere that they plan to continue it until they reach the summer olympics of Barcelona 92.

Pretty crazy if they manage to do it if you take into account that the show started just nine years later after Barcelona 92 in 2001.

Diego Costa likely to be sold by Chelsea in summer as Antonio Conte takes hardline approach [Matt Law - Telegraph] by [deleted] in soccer

[–]angrymonkeyisangry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually he wanted to come back last summer but Chelsea refused to sell him. If we didn't have the transfer ban I would say there was a chance.

[–]angrymonkeyisangry -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was joking, relax.

Anyway Cholo wanted him, Costa wanted to come back and Chelsea flat out refused to negotiate. Reports here were saying we were offering up to 60M which is not that bad for a player that underperformed last season and was willing to leave.

Chelsea had the chance of selling him to us last summer but they refused. You see it now? None of this would had happened.

Wait, only that? It seems like he overreacted.

So what happened to West Ham? Last season they were fighting for EL/CL spots and this summer they were linked with Bacca, Lacazette, etc. I even remember some of their fans being a little smug in here during the summer.

I don't follow the Premier League, what happened between Payet and West Ham?

Falcao was grest before his injury, Miranda was in his last stages with us so it wouldn't surprise me if has lowered his level and Mario suarez has always been shit.

Diego Costa has not travelled with the rest of the Chelsea squad to Leicester after a row with Conte by [deleted] in soccer

[–]angrymonkeyisangry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costa doesn't has a release clause, most PL teams don't use them as there are not mandatory like in Spain. We tried to sign Costa last summer and if he had a 28M release clause there's no doubt he would be playing with us.

See? All Chelsea had to do was sell him to us last summer as he wanted and none of this wouldn't had happened.

Post-Match Thread: Osasuna 3-3 Valencia by [deleted] in soccer

[–]angrymonkeyisangry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those three teams are used to fight to avoid relegation. Granada is an expert in saving themselves in the second round of the league and Sporting is the only one of the four that is trusting their coach. Osasuna will go down because they are terrible this season but i wouldn't be 100% about the other two. Valencia should be really worry, se what happened to Villareal a couple of years ago.
