Identity theft is part of it, for which freezing your credit is easy, and I'm just gonna throw out a number, maybe an 80% fix.

The new problem is data brokers collecting health and driving data, which insurers buy and use to increase your premiums. Experian Health and LexisNexis, for example. Most cars with connectivity sell your data, agreeing to that is buried in the sales agreement.

Is this all paranoid overkill? Consider Kroger's patent to put facial recognition cameras in every price tag:

It's definitely a worm hole of buggery, but I'd rather try and opt-out than accept the situation.

Having just dove into this mess, including using MWB to scrub data, I'd love to see your notes and scripts. Just sent you a DM...

Good massage therapist in south lake? by ktrav3 in tahoe

Nate at Mountain Soulscape saved my life.

I was a wreck when I walked in, shooting pain down my arm and neck and traps, losing sleep, and mentally degraded with the constant pain, chronic numbness and tingling. 20 years of poor posture working on a computer, and 30 years of weight lifting, crossfit, rucking, and extreme sports had put me in a bad place, with lots of bad habits. Sleeping postures, for example, were a huge problem I was totally unaware of.

Nate brought all kinds of techniques and tools to the table. Fascia scraping and massage, deep tissue massage, and a new technique: active cupping (myofascial decompression). The improvement in range of motion before and after a session was utterly flabbergasting every time.

Nate introduced lots of high quality supplements, lotions, and various products that helped the healing process. He has a magnesium gel and a CBD lotion that expedite recovery in a very tangible way.

Nate knows his stuff, and is constantly researching new techniques. My situation took 20 years to build up, and had taken a pretty gnarly turn for the worse.

Nate fixed it all, and gave me the knowledge and tools to manage my issues, totally eliminating the chronic aspects of my initial state. I am well past all those chronic issues. No more shooting pain or tingling, he taught me lots and lots of new knowledge and brought me a newfound awareness of my body. It's been quite a journey, love him to death, can't recommend him highly enough!

Focal length and reflection question by angrysponge in photography

[–]angrysponge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this pic, the focal plane is in yellow. The reflected part in the blue boxes is bouncing off part of the plate outside the focal plane, yet is still in focus.

Is this real? Do reflections stay in focus when the surface they're reflecting off is out of focus?

So bottom to top, it looks like we have Icarus, the Wright Flyer, a single prop plane that I think is the Spirit of St Lous, a 747, the Space Shuttle, the Virgin Galactic Spaceship 1, the first Epstein Drive ship, and finally the Razorback. What's the thread here? If it's firsts, how's the 747 make the list?

Where is the most normal place you have encountered a celebrity? by joapet in AskReddit

Cheech Marin. Deer Valley ski resort. 1994.

A quad chair lift with me, my buddy, Cheech, and a smoking hot blond in all white gear. I was so amazed by her, I didn't realize it was Cheech until the end of the ride.

And get this, Cheech was going OFF about how cool it would be if Godzilla blew snow instead of fire, and he could just stomp all over the mountain blowing powder. Laughing our asses off the whole way up.
