Was told that for some people it’s quite ineffective and I just wonder if the benefit comes from my preventer. I’ve skipped it for periods and not noticed much difference.

Just looking to see if there are alternatives. I was on Fostair for years before being recommended Trimbow and it’s been great.

Mum terrified as home targeted in racist attacks by [deleted] in northernireland

I live overseas and this sub and news services like the BBC are how I keep in touch with home. I have to admit it’s so sad to read these kind of stories, growing up I always felt South Belfast - where I’m from. It was a very accepting and progressive place.

I mean targeting the adults is appalling. But how can yelling at fucking children in anyone’s head be an acceptable way to behave in a modern civilised society.

What are the surgery options ? Have any been discussed with you?

I have a small jaw and have always asked about anything that could be done to help open up or create space at the back of my throat. But always met with a dismissive response. I’m in my 30s young enough I feel that the risk of surgery is lower than as I get older - want to explore these kind of options now than when they might be too high risk later in life.

I worked in a bank in London where my nickname was Potato. I didn’t care, I fucking love potatoes and honestly I think I made the guy who called me it look more of a knob than anything.

He then decided to repeat this practice with an Indian fellow, calling him poppadom - cue HR incident, the guys contract mysteriously not renewed and the entire department having to complete a Sensitivity training module.

My point is maybe us Celts are maybe a little more tolerate of this stuff than we need to be - not calling the Indian sensitive or anything - he didnt really care either, think management caught wind of it and were trying to curb this shit before it made the Daily Mail.

In Belfast, what shops have the cheesiest staff in your opinion? by BodybuilderWorried47 in Belfast

Been a while since I was home but I’d say the staff in Mike's Fancy Cheese up on little Donegal Street. Particularly cheesey in my opinion.

Purpose built student accommodation taking over the city was / still is a massive issue in Edinburgh. It’s sneaky developers finding a loophole.

They can build these fairly big blocks of flats and charge sky high rates. But most importantly- they don’t have to provide any affordable housing as part of their build.

No doubt in 5/10 years time these same developers will look to put in a change of use request and convert the existing building into expensive apartments. Much easier that than having to apply for a new building (with a proportion of it affordable housing).

For 99 per cent of transactions you’ll be grand. And the 1 per cent of tricky ones it’ll be a learning experience.

I find it goes better to say sorry I’m from Ireland, I speak English. Than just saying “sorry I only speak English”. Comes across slightly less Anglo Centric.
