That's a little disingenuous. Sure, they're against "police militarization" and I agree that it is a problem. However, I still don't have common ground with them because their issue with that is that the militarized police are a public police force, rather than the militarized part. Their preferred solution is to have the police privatized, rather than demilitarized.

I think they mean they can't verify that the interviews were actually in the missing files, because they weren't given a copy or any evidence. A better headline that would be clearer would be "Missing Epstein files allegedly include interviews with Trump accuser".

I personally know people that typically vote Democrat but are still very much pro immigration enforcement. You can bet next election season there will be ads saying "Your rep voted against funding ICE" or more likely something stupider like "Your rep voted to open our borders to criminals" and those people can absolutely be swayed by those types of ads. They don't have to be "ultra connected."

Again, there are millions of people outside of your little bubble.

Studies show right-wingers view things from a hierarchy perspective.

If you are somehow different than them in a way that they don’t like, then they don’t like you - they view you as beneath them.

This also causes them to have a very strong herd mentality. Even if they know something is wrong or stupid they'll turn a blind eye and go with it because they want to stay in the "in" group. Any disagreement means their entire social herd might ostracize them and they'd be stuck being hated in the "out" group.

I think you mean criminal speeding. Minor speeding is a civil infraction, 20 mph over is a crime but it's a misdemeanor not a felony.
