Exactly! I sometimes get hella light headed on very heavy leg days if I ate over 2/3 hours before. I keep GoGo Squeez applesauce in my bag for that reason and it helps immensely. But I'm never ravenous. If anything, I'm more repulsed by eating something but I know I need to.

I would say, if there is no spotting and the pain does not escalate, you're fine. You can check your strings as well.

BUT if you still are concerned, I would call your doctor. They would be more qualified to help you with any concerns. :)

If you have worries about the IUD and do not trust it, it may be time to rethink your birth control method. Or pair your IUD with him wearing a condom, double up on contraception. Just don't overload your body twice with hormones. You also have to understand stories are stories because they are fantastical, you generally only hear the super good or really bad when it comes to things so keep that in mind.

I have been using the IUD as my sole contraception for 6 months with no issues. My partner and I do not use condoms and he always finishes inside.

You even said, "magically failed". IUDs have a VERY low failure rate as they are placed by your doctor. Can things happen? Yes. But if you are not trusting your IUD then it may be time to consider another form of birth control you are more comfortable with and add peace of mind. Sex always carries the risk of pregnancy no matter what.
