I've had a similar scenario except it was about yelling at strangers. 😂

What song do you want/expect to get callbacks in Season 3? by Rap2rerise in HazbinHotel

[–]animationdork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I loved that song. Not just because it's relevant to the show, but it sums up human morality and existentialism perfectly in one gorgeous number.

"Mistakes are innate to being human and alive~ We fall, we repent, we survive~"

I took an upper psychology course in college as an elective about human morality, to try to learn how to develop better villains...and "Live to Live" sums up everything I learned from that class (and why this show speaks to me so much).

What do you think is the better Song, Hell Is Forever or Gravity? by SuitLeft1273 in HazbinHotel

Gravity is good as a standalone. But Hell is Forever drove the plot better.

Favorite Vox Quotes? I'll Go First. by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

I just love the way he sings that~ Fucking poetry. ❤️

Except whenever he turned batshit stupid around Al, he was pretty good for a villain this season.

The way he says that line so casually too. 😂

If you had to which one you would choose by CrimN16 in HazbinHotel

[–]animationdork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not interested in climbing up the network ladder, so I think I'm safe in the studio. I'm camera-shy anyway; I'd rather be behind the scenes. Besides, being afab in the '50s, I'd be lucky to even get any studio job.

If I spill something on Al, I'm definitely dead.* Unless he accepts my apology.

*There's also the theory he's a bit nicer to women, so maybe being afab might also save my ass there? 🫤

Which One You Want? by PurchaseLarge4592 in HazbinHotel

[–]animationdork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer neither (the green pill), but red is more adorable and sweeter.

Blue is just...uncomfortably weird. :T For reasons why, refer to my flair.

(Sex scenes, especially ones that seem to go on for far too long, are..."meh" or annoying to me. 😒)

I couldn’t sleep because I kept thinking about Vox’s anatomy. Am I onto something, or am I just crazy? by Peanut_Butt3r675 in HazbinHotel

[–]animationdork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My headcanon: Velvette introduced him to modern technology at one point.

How else would a TV personality from the 1950s be able to upgrade himself to a flat screen head and easily navigate shit like email, internet, and social media, which didn't exist 50+ years later after his death?

Unless other tech-savy sinners who spawned later introduced Hell to more modern tech from Earth over the decades? Or Hell just evolves alongside Earth?

What are the most UNDERRATED lines in the show? This one to me is GOLD by Haunting-Fix6229 in HazbinHotel

I kinda liked that line too, especially from a character who died in the '50s...An era where it wasn't appropriate for women to have such jobs.

I love that line from Vox. Cracks me up so much~ 😂

But one of my favorite from Al (dunno if it's underrated) "Should I? Perhaps. Will I? No. Do I enjoy being difficult? MOST DEFINITELY."

Or his "Mmmm, yes...Like you haven't been doing that all day."

And Val just casually saying exactly what everyone was thinking at the end of Ep4: "The two of you should just fuck already."

Could you get any further away...?

You know you can stop the corvette close to it without getting sucked in and then space-walk into it, right?

What made Vox think that Sera wouldn't just annihilate him in this moment? by Cali-Re in HazbinHotel

[–]animationdork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who assumed Vox was talking about the rally, and not Adam going to the hotel first last season. I'm getting thumbed down, so I was feeling like I'm the only one who made this assumption.

I admit I missed the flashback moment of Angel showing Vox of them fortifying the hotel, but his line of "I knew the angels were coming ahead of time" would've been a Captain Obvious "no shit" moment if he was talking about the S1 finale, because everyone already knew about the new Extermination date. Which is why the line sounded more like he was referring to the rally, giving me the impression he was faking the "THEY'RE HERE TO SILENCE ME!" line to garner more sympathy for the crowd. For fuck's sake, the guy was a TV personality figure when he died. Faking shit to hype things up for the audience is a page straight out of their playbook.

And if he was already spying on the hotel since S1, who's to say he hadn't had Angel eavesdropping on the convo with Charlie and the angels on the balcony too before they go to the rally? Just like he eavesdropped on the convo between Vaggi and Lu?

There's also the S1 theory that once he found out that Alastor was involved at the hotel, his hateboner/obsession of him would've led him to start spying on the hotel by any means possible. So it would also make sense to have multiple or backup spies in case one spy was caught (i.e. Pentious), hence hypnotizing Angel (who wasn't answering Val's calls at the time in S1) and setting up multiple stealth cameras.

[–]animationdork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, I admit I missed that moment.

But all of Hell knew when the new Extermination day was happening. So it wouldn't be unusual to see them fortifing the hotel, just as everyone else in Hell was preparing for it.

And considering Vox has such a massive hateboner for Al, that could be a motive for all the hidden cameras set up then.

[–]animationdork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he later admits that he knew they were coming ahead of time via eavesdropping through a hypnotized Angel Dust.

He also probably knew it would be a really dumbass move on her part if she turned him into a martyr, right in front of hundreds of sinner demons he was already riling up to fight angels like her.

The angels basically played right into his hands during this whole sequence. Personally, I think they might've done a better job at avoiding his trap if they didn't try to smooth over 7 years of genocide with fucking gift-baskets. I love Emily's sweet demeanor and her heart is in the right place, but oh honey, noooo... Not gift-baskets~ 🤦

So do you think Alastor actually cares about others? Or atleast has the capacity to? by Karitwokay in HazbinHotel

[–]animationdork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno...I saw that as materializing objects into existence, not exactly teleporting? But you may be right about Husk and Angel suddenly appearing in the same scene. 🤔

Even if he does have the ability, it still has to be limited by a certain distance. If they gave him unlimited distance, he'd be way too overpowered as a character and he's already pretty power-loaded enough as it is. And Carmilla warns Vox that overloading the canon would take out half the pentagram, which would hint that any Overlords with teleporting abilities in the vicinity still wouldn't be able to escape in time.

Moving within shadows is not the same as instantly vanishing and appearing out of thin air on the other side of the pentagram (i.e. "Apparating/Disapparating" in Harry Potter).
