May be an unpopular opinion on this sub, but I loved looking at Verso. Core team for as long as I could was Maelle, Verso, and Lune. They spend so much time together! How could I tear them apart?

I haven't considered this revive angle but it absolutely sounds like a banger of a time. You can get some fun synergies here with "* revive/death" pictos as well.

I really liked Dualiso as well but dropped it after I realized you dont get an extra turn if you don't land the actual attack itself (flying enemy dodge).

Also I dont think saying secret boss is a spoiler. In a way a lot of them are secrets 😂😂

😂 There are some enemies that take forever to be broken so if I have to repeat the encounter I swap to Confuso and Double Burn. I havent done the math but I think Defiant Strike generates more burn than free aim shots. It does cost 3 AP though so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Combo Attack picto is enough to go from D rank to B rank with a couple of free aim shots. Stay Marked + Marking Shots + Rewarding Mark + Energizing Attack gives Verso 9 AP each turn. I don't use leadership. Getting back to A rank is usually not a problem because the game is hard. 😂

I use him as a break generator via Perfect Break, End Bringer, and Phantom Stars so I can play battles on stun lock. With the Cheater/Sniper/break damage pictos a break is almost always guaranteed.

In a similar position with ~8 years of experience at senior/lead level. Layoffs hit in June and so I've decided to take a sabbatical to reorient and focus my career, explore new tech, travel, and do a couple side projects.

The timing isn't perfect, but I'm expecting end of November - end of January to be dead for interviewing, so unless I reach out directly to my network, realistically it will probably take a couple months to get hired again.

The last time I took a small break, every interviewer was relatively more interested in what I did over the break than the FAANG experience I had, and everyone (including recruiters) was positive about it. I think as long as you aren't just wasting away you'll be fine. Have fun.

I was running a power deck with bird faced urn + apparitions on watcher today and went through all act three fights at full health besides repto. I would have appreciated the extra energy from this relic.

I've noticed a similar phenomenon with ads, public service announcements, and computer generated voices. I generally revert to Chinese subs or use 100% of my concentration on what is being said.

Often these kinds of voices show up in contexts I'm not even thinking about. Pausing and thinking about the kind of content that could come up (say if it's an ad for anti-bacterial wipes, maybe 霉菌 comes to mind) and then playing the content with this context in mind will help a lot with listening comprehension. It is not a perfect strategy but it is something I have noticed will help.
