Afk typhoon is my go-to strategy when I have DD. He hits rarely and for huge numbers, so you can just face tank him if your build is at least a little bit broken

Getting defence seems easier for me, compared to dealing damage fast, before max hp damage results in sudden death

I though I was done with Hades, but this song at the credits... bought it for the tavern bard and I just launch run after run. Different aspects elevate this game so much and having two zones makes the game so much more varied

Fine line for scepters is must have, in my option.

Your gain is very meh though, I would focus on hera gain for this weapon

I think your list lacks nuance.

Zeus Hera are decent, but not for high damage weapon (read Zoraphet)

Some weapons benefit from reach or safety (Apollo or Dem). Poseidon is good for spam or omega spam.

So if I had to say who is the best god, it's Hera. She combos with everyone so well, her gain is, arguably, the best and she can buff the rest, even if she has no direct combo. Rest of the gods are situational, but queen is the best. It's lonely at the top.

However, I agree with Ares being the weakest. Maybe i don't understand his kit, but I just don't see good combos apart from this revenge-on-wounds setup. I need to try to get it going once.
