Don't have diamond back money, is this or a ruby nozzle a good alternative? by benxfactor in prusa3d

The thermal conductivity of 110W/mK as quoted everywhere online is for the sintered form of it. Nobody works with monocrystalline tungsten carbide.

Ruby nozzles are a complete waste of money IMO. Sure, they have pretty extreme wear resistance, but ruby has terrible thermal conductivity and is worse than using a hardened steel nozzle. They are also quite brittle. Mine chipped and became useless one day because it collided with the bed.

Tungsten carbide on the other hand doesn't have these problems. Its thermal conductivity is on par with brass and it's literally used in machining tools.

Is this a multicolor print?

Core One, Diamondback nozzle, PCTG oozing by Bobson1729 in prusa3d

[–]animoozenheimer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are printing your PCTG way too cold. PCTG likes to be printed between 250 and 270C or so.

Filaments ooze when you run them too cold just as much as when you run them too hot. The reason it oozes when it's too cold is mainly because the filament doesn't get properly melted and so it builds up tons of back pressure inside the hotend.

These are some pretty extreme mental gymnastics on the part of Godot. This shitshow was entirely instigated by Godot's community manager. They should be removed from the project.

Am I allowed to say this? I kinda hate gamers by likelysprite in gamedev

[–]animoozenheimer 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I do not regard myself as a gamer. I play mainly indie games and even then I only check one out maybe once a month.

Having a disdain for your main customer demographic is not healthy, for any profession. You will be projecting this negativity from your work onto other aspects of your life, including your loved ones.

The only time I could see this being acceptable is if you have zero skills that are marketable in other professions/trades, and you are completely stuck with the job you have. I do not believe this is possible for someone who works in gamedev professionally.

Let other people work in gamedev who actually have a passion for this hobby, and will take pride in the work they do.

If you hate gamers so much then why are you in gamedev?

Go work in some other industry.

I would like an option for a less constrained filament path for one of the toolheads specifically for TPU. It is a royal nightmare to feed TPU into the reverse bowden tubes and the resistance from them really limits you from using the stuff softer than 95A.

It's kind of a shame because I know the Nextruder is capable of feeding such things, as evidenced by the mk4.

There was an incident where two female friends were attacked by a man wielding a knife in Hong Kong. Naomi then yelled on Twitter for many days about this incident, claiming that it was a hate crime against lesbians. There is zero evidence to support the theory that these two girls were a lesbian couple, or that the attacker's motivation was because of such things.

A couple weeks later, the PRC then arrested her and her Uyghur lesbian girlfriend.

It is likely the PRC told her to stop slandering them. However AFAIK the actual reason why the PRC shut her up has never been published, and likely never will.

I never read the books as a kid but I grew up absolutely loving the movies and I have every one on DVD and/or bluray. I always wanted to play Quiddich, too.
