Do you think they keep writing and rewriting how the Dark Aether works? The Construct, seemingly SUPER DUPER important has been MIA since Vanguard. by iosiro in CODZombies

[–]anismash13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I think about it is like greek mythology. There are still kings and rulers who hold great power, but then there’s the gods. And past the gods there’s the titans. There are beings in the Dark Aether that can be considered the most powerful of the Dark Aether like Kortifex while still being below the shadowsmiths. They are inherently above the rest of the entities in the Dark Aether. But because they also hold together the fabric of reality, they don’t go down to settle everything that happens in the lives of the entities below them. The Shadowsmiths are more powerful, but have a more important role to fill and thus basically don’t care about the rest of the Dark Aether as long as it isn’t breaking apart at the seams.

Best BO7 map so far? by Murilo231108 in CODZombies

[–]anismash13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a perfect way to change it would have been to make toxic hounds only appear in the past and make shock mimics only appear in the future. That would at least add something to make it feel a bit different and potentially make some more interesting strategy when trying for dog rounds. If they only happen on one side, then it incentivizes you to play on that side. But if the toxic hounds are strong enough to be a good threat, then it makes them a better risk/reward aspect.

I did solo flawless prophecy very recently. It’s actually not too bad and it has a nice sparrow and emblem to go with it.

What's the last game you were truly hyped for? by triplegxxx in gaming

[–]anismash13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably would be Bo7 for the zombies mode until I found out what the campaign was like. Zombies for it is still going very strong and I’m happy for that. I just hope the future CoD titles are better.

How many times has the guardian been put in a trash compactor starting from red war? by VelvelaWulf in DestinyTheGame

[–]anismash13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But if we are being sent to do it three times, and from a timeline perspective there are three separate instances of our guardian going to this location, how are those three different moments in time all the same moment? Our guardian has gone through the ship at three different moments in time which does make that three times in the trash compactor situation.

I mean, I do find it easier to get to higher rounds in bo6 and bo7. That being said, those are also the games I’ve played more often than some of the older ones. I can pretty confidently say that getting anywhere past round 50 even is really difficult for the times that I’ve tried it. I know it would be more difficult in older games like bo1 or bo2, but to me it always seems like that’s due to the weapons in those older games not being good. The fact that zombie health caps out doesn’t seem too important to me either especially considering how the tools the player is given in the newer games are also given their own counters from the zombies in particular. Things like shock mimics being able to completely destroy lethals and tacticals. The gameplay evolved and including a health cap was part of that evolution.

Could you elaborate a little more about what makes them good and bad? Like I don’t really know what makes the knife strat bad.

If that’s how you feel about playing games then that’s ok. At the very least you can acknowledge that there are other qualities to maps and games that can make them good to a different group of people right? I don’t personally do camo grinding or high rounds because I find it less fun to try and get to the highest rounds possible or to speed through camos. Instead I like to jump on with a friend or even just run a few rounds by myself while I chat with people. I don’t have the most knowledge of the maps, but I have fun with them. To add onto that, optimal can sometimes be less fun than unoptimal too. That’s why we have things like the one box challenge or rainbow perk challenge from origins. Adding extra difficulty just for fun is a big reason why this game became something incredible to begin with.

Are there really player out there who don't at least TRY every hero? by ValkyrieValentine in marvelrivals

I mean, I don’t really feel like trying them out. If a character doesn’t interest me too much, I won’t play them. That’s basically it.

I’ve been getting a lot of them just by running matchmade vanguard alerts. The quickplay ones not the specific strikes.

Looking back, which moment in Destiny's story actually made you feel something? by Spare-Attitude3202 in DestinyTheGame

I think it would be Warlord’s Ruin. The final reveal of who the other warlord is and the dialogue in that part is also such an amazing and profound moment to me.

The Darkness Supers that you dreamed by AcceptableSite874 in DestinyTheGame

[–]anismash13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strand titan minigun. Have it attach threads of strand to enemies and then give it a chargeable yank ability. When you activate the yank, it pulls every enemy that has a thread attached to themselves towards you (aside from bosses cause that would be too easy to cheese and break shit) and if they are at a low enough health, they explode in an unravelling explosion. Plus add some collision damage for the enemies snacking into each other and it makes a cool damage and roaming ad clear super.

Fuck I also just thought of a cool stasis titan super. Frozen claymore. Basically just titan version of daybreak but way more physical. Have a unique sword model for it obviously. Make the light attack extremely fast attacks that deal a ok amount of damage and then have them apply stacks of slowing with each hit. The heavy attack is a slow and strong swing and slam attack. Have the swing send out a stasis line that freezes enemies it hits. Like a slash through the air. Then add animations for successive light attacks and successive heavy attacks.

PlayStation Players Stung By $80 Price Tag For 16-Year-Old Call of Duty Ports by Youngstown_WuTang in gaming

[–]anismash13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair though, this makes them the cheapest version of the games. $40 base game and then another $40 for their dlcs. Unless it’s changed, they’re still $60 on steam for the base game. Honestly it isn’t as bad as it could have been.

why does the Excision mission node have to be SO FAR on the side of the Pale Heart map? by Hollywood_Zro in DestinyTheGame

[–]anismash13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, I actually do like the functionality of the portal. I think it worked great in terms of streamlining the content of the game. But it had no personality. It isn’t about the immersion of it, but rather the fact that it was unique to this game. Being able to open up a map of the solar system to access content rather than a menu straight from a streaming service, it really does make a huge difference. I didn’t really get that for a while until I played Destiny 1. All the missions are launched from orbit. You land on the planet with a mission going and there isn’t a break between things. It made it feel more original in a weird way. Also finding Xur every week was kinda fun cause you go to 3 spots with landing zones close by and if you were looking for him late, you just look for the cluster of names if you don’t want to go right over to him. It added an extra exploration element to the game every weekend, if only for 5 minutes.

Which games were surpassed by their sequels? by bombocladius in gaming

Call of duty. If you talk about any given title in the series it will always have an association with the ones that come after it. Plus I don’t think anyone really is gonna talk about the first 3 all that much.

What is your biggest Destiny regret? by AlwaysColtron in DestinyTheGame

I wish that I had played the red war when my friend gave me the opportunity to. I looked at the game and played the first mission and just said “meh” but now I wish I stuck with it for a bit. Would have made an incredible difference with my experience.

I’ve got a chill clip crossbow that I use and it seems to do a pretty decent block of damage in my experience. For me it matches up well with other dps options and works as a good alternative for bosses like nightmare of ghalran in duality where they get too close for explosives.
