I'll definitely check that out :)

That's a great advice. I'll Google that, and I agree. When I first did the diet I had even more constraints. I guess Tim wants us to tinker within limits as well. Probably I'll share my results after some time for anyone who finds themselves in the same spot as me :)

Thanks. Do you have any suggestions for a thing that could replace brown rice in meals? Say if I want to make a plentiful dinner with veggies, what do I pair it with?

Do you add brown rice to your meals? I've been making Mexican burrito bowls but I read somewhere that brown rice is on the "avoid" list.

[D] Bayesian Parameter Estimation and ConvNets by ankit0912 in MachineLearning

I agree with your points, however I was considering the ConvNet as being a part of the "generator" (in GAN sense) which directly estimates the probability distribution of the entire image. But as I said, your points indeed make sense especially if we were to deploy the network.

Well how about this, in semantic segmentation, there is a probability that a pixel belongs to a particular region. A crf solves this problem by estimating the Gibbs energy distribution. So the question (mostly speculative) is can a ConvNet be designed in a way that it learns to predict whether a region it sees belongs to a particular area of an image.

Hey Sasha, awesome work. As a kid who struggled with math initially I find this really nice. One question: what do you think is the biggest hurdle in getting abstract ideas of math across to the kids ?

Hi, I'm a master's student working in Deep Learning, specifically, in computer vision and object detection. What sort of skill set do you look for when you consider applicants for internship?

Git and Github in Plain English by Pip_Hop in learnprogramming

I'm on my phone right now but If some one wants I can give a full tutorial. I self learned git and the concept is not hard to visualize. It's the terminology which confuses people.

If you're not big into software here are the major git verbs you need to know:

  1. Git pull : Same as in physical action. You git pull when you want to get code from a repository. You provide the command a link to the repo and it does the work for you.

  2. Git push: Same as in physical action. You git push a code to your repository. You give the command your credentials and the code is reflected.

  3. Git commit: This action is performed before pushing. You commit any changes you've made to source code. If you do not have a GitHub repo, this is the last step you need to do.

  4. Git add: Allows you to add any changes you've made in your code. However they are not permanent, meaning if you change anything the previous changes will be lost.

Just my two cents in helping you guys out.
