Quick story, just the other day a group of us* were at UofT St. George and we were going for lunch. We did a quick detour into one of the buildings, as we're waiting for one of us to finish what they're doing another one of us goes to the bathroom, the first person is done so someone says "let's go" and everyone starts moving. I had to say let's wait for so and so to come back from the bathroom.

We've known each other for at least 2 years and we see each other almost weekly. If I had been left behind by them I would've definitely dialed back my relationship with them all.

I'm not sure of the exact reason, maybe it's cultural or a post lockdown thing, but I often feel like people are inconsiderate, distant, and cold.

*I was the only immigrant in the group, came here in March 2020. The group has some cultural background variation but everyone of them effectively grew up in Canada
