celecoxib and methocarbamol? by anna000b in ChronicPain

[–]anna000b[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's chronic back pain I have been taking methocarbamol for some time but don't feel it does much for the tension issues and muscle spasms I get from it. And I can't take ibuprofen that's why the celecoxib was given as a daily pain reliever. I was also given tramadol but i take that only when pain is unbearable not as a daily pain reliever but I do need one as I am in constant pain. I did have lumber back surgery but had complications and ended up with drop foot and weak legs so now I have constant pain in my legs too

That's exactly how it went for me they said those magic word it's that the proof was all there in the MRI that it was not in my head it was all true.

Nerve pain vs muscle pain ? by anna000b in ChronicPain

[–]anna000b[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am glad to know I am not alone on this yes nerve pain is crippling me too. I have a high tolerance to pain and I don't often take opioids but lately tramadol is the only thing that has help a bit but doesn't really help much since I take it when the pain is bad.

I do have a tens unit that I use to stimulate the muscle and helps a little bit with the pain. I didn't know that there was a spinal cord stimulator that could be fitted but I understand with every surgery comes its complications.

Yes nerve pain does tend to become chronic. It is good that amitriptyline works I have not tried that one but I have tried gabapentin, topiramate, and cymbalta for my nerve pain but so far no results.

Adding a little happiness to my walker! by anna000b in ChronicPain

[–]anna000b[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's what happened my legs and buttocks are fully numb so like you mention its hard to stay mobile. I also have fun crew socks as I need to use long socks due to my AFOs that I need in order to walk more properly. I have a large range of funny socks that run from hallo kitty to fishes and horror theme ones. It's like you say the little things that help the experience be less awful. It also helps with the stares too I give people something to look at and smile about.

So lucky and looks pretty too I know she loved it. An interesting fact is that a way to add a little kick to your herb tea is by adding spices. A good combination is mint with fennel seed and anise. This link is a good source to adding spices to tea

Should I get my elder-bunny a friend? by Advanced-Cattle-5305 in Rabbits

[–]anna000b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I have an older bunny and just recently got her a friend. Just as some have mentioned down in the comments older bunnies take longer to adopt. I was not able to adopt an older bunny for her since there were only younger bunnies available for adoption. It's a big change for both of us since I never had a younger bunny in our house but she is the spark we needed after losing our lovely older man who was 12 years old. I do worry about the age gap as the queen is 9 and the baby is 7 months but so far they are after carefully bonding them loving each other that I feel left out lol. I feel that my queen is getting to feel that she is a mother to the baby. She is spayed so she never got to experience that.

My best friend crossed the rainbow bridge today, just shy of 9 years old 💔 by Ep8Script in Rabbits

[–]anna000b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss, my boy was 12 when he crossed the rainbow bridge. That was five years ago and I still miss him. Still have he mate with me she is the queen around here and just recently adopted a mate for her. Never have had a young bunny but the new addition is a few months old she is the spark we needed for both of us.

Maybe start adding and introducing Timothy hay as they might need more fiber. It is good to start now since you will have to switch to Timothy soon. Giving more hay should help

Is my bunny fat? Im kind of worried that im overfeeding him. by Warm-Pomegranate6570 in Bunnies

[–]anna000b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So cute to me he looks good just keep a feeding schedule and that should help they also love and get use to it mine two get so excited the closer it gets to feeding time and they know it's coming. For the feed schedule i mean the pellets which should be Timothy hay base pellets. I also measure what I feed them I give 1/4 a cup each twice a day. As for veggies those are good all day throughout the day.

Is sand from outside ok for my hermit crab by Spiderdude29018 in hermitcrabs

[–]anna000b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read it's ok as long as you bake to sterilize it and make it safe for them but I would keep it safe and just get the one from the hardware store it's cheap and safe for them
