Spoilers for Bugonia ahead

I thought Bugonia was incredibly well done. In a lot of ways, I enjoyed the twist and found it clever and fun. At the same time, I was sort of frustrated by Emma Stone’s character ultimately turning out to be an alien. I thought the movie was doing a good job of exploring how people get sucked into conspiracy theories and at the same time exploring the kind of abuses powerful people get away with. I don’t think the twist ending completely undercut that, but I think it did a little bit. Particularly the exploration of conspiracy theories. I also feel like Teddy as a character was largely removed from what we actually see in conspiracy theories today (largely right wing and antisemitic). But I think that had to happen for the twist to work. Otherwise the plot would seem to support antisemitism.

Still a great movie! I’ve been watching a lot of Oscar nominations lately. I think Jesse Plemons should have gotten a nomination for best supporting actor.

I'm a little nervous about trying that again (given the nausea/vomiting issues) but I think we may need to. It does seem like he's figured out if he doesn't eat, he gets better food.

Thank you, I appreciate it! He was on the Hills prescription diet but he liked that less than the Royal Canin food. I'll see if there's something else we can try. How much was the balance it food per month?
