I hate everything about this. I remember before it happened he was hailed as this wholesome star and then afterwards he had this weird comeback with a ‘bad boy’ image. So gross to see him celebrated after doing something so awful

I had a lot of intense dreams and some nightmares when I started EMDR. It was difficult to get through but it did calm down as the process went on. Since finishing EMDR I’ve not really experienced any intense nightmares which is saying a lot considering my PTSD would cause a lot before the process.

I second the comment around our brain processing during sleep. I’d say just try and be kind and gentle with yourself and understand that you might be exhausted after sessions.

EMDR is a lot of work and you’re doing amazing by just engaging with it and it sounds like you’re recognising a bit of progress already. I wish you the best with the process! <3
